Re: I NEED one of these...Japanese car show
if these were road legal in the states - I would invest in one of those - since I only live 5 miles from work and the fastest road I take is 25mph - it would save me some money on gas (and I could park it anywhere!).

Ohmygodisthatnotthecoolest!!!
I need one of those. This would kill 2 birds with one stone. Good fuel economy and the classic styling of our trucks. Last edited by Zumo; 04-29-2008 at 10:06 PM. |

Re: I NEED one of these...Japanese car show
Showed this thread to a fabricator friend of mine - I told him I was only interested IF it worked with a SCION. Don't know what would be involved, what do you fabricators out there think? It would be awesome to make my Scion look like this!

Re: I NEED one of these...Japanese car show
The more I think about this the crazier it makes me. If it is infact a Scion xB
Mooneyes has a Japanese brand. Does anyone have a contact there? This seems like the perfect product for them to sell here. They could import these conversion but I am sure we would pay a price for them. |

Biggest wonder to me is how they made that grille - wondering what would be involved.

i don't think it's realistic or cost effective to make a kit like this out of metal. as for things like the grille, i think the easiest, but probably not the cheapest way would be to take it to one of those places that CNC's 3d plastic models of stuff. |

Re: I NEED one of these...Japanese car show
well shoot. That is NOT a SCION. In Japan Suzuki, Hyundai and perhaps a few others make this mini cars that sport 600-800cc 2 cycle motors - looks to me that is what we're talking about.
But I'm not giving up - gotta visit with one of my best fabricator buddies - and get a tape measure out and see if this would in fact work with a Scion.

See post number 46. These aren't Scions =( they are very very very small cars, vans and station wagons that are not even legal here.
