Yeah, It was some pretty good down-pour. Now it's COLD!! If tomorrow is somewhat clear, I'll paint the inner fenders. If not, I'll find something else to work on......

When you mix for paint in the cold, more or less reducer?

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!

Well, this week I took on the task of putting the new master cylinder and running the new brake lines.

This is the part # from Kragen. Got it on sale for $17!!

On my last trip to the junkyard, I found some old brake line to practice on..

I put the inner fender and motor mount on for reference....

Well, here it goes.....

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!

After I finished the brakelines, I finally got some paint on the firewall. I used Rust-oleum textured paint I found at Home Depot.

Next I'll be working on the inner fenders. Stay tuned..........

Thanks Alan!! This was the first time I attempted this job. I had to practice quite a bit before I jumped in.

Thanks LILRED66! I really liked the way the Chief turned out so I figure I give it a shot.

To those that are planning on doin' your own brakelines.... A few months before I did the brakelines, I found a flaring kit at my local auto parts store. I bought it for $16! I figured it was a great deal for such a simple tool, right? Well, I learned my lesson on buying cheap tools.... When it came down to doing the double flaring, they just would not turn out right!! I tried and tried but no luck. I finally found that it was the tool that was giving me grief. I went to Sears and spent $60 on another set, and man what difference!!! I was making perfect flares every time!!!! Lesson learned.......

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!

When I did my pick-up, I did the same thing........just jumped in and start wrestling around with the stuff. I had a harder time with my 'burb; maybe I was thinking too much.
