Re: Project Blaz-Air

Update: The guy who I purchased the LS1 from jerked me around and tried to take my money, but after making a claim with paypal and ebay I was able to get a refund and then i purchased something much better than a LS1...... A LS2 with the 6 speed out of a 06 GTO!!!! Picked it up from a local guy here with only 17,000 miles on it. This should be good for the new 22x12s!!

Re: Project Blaz-Air

very very nice purchases there. nothin like adding modern drivertrain. one question thou, what are you gonna do for the transmission yoke, did you manage to get the front of the driveshaft, that way you can make up a driveshaft.

Re: Project Blaz-Air

I know its been a while since I posted any updates but I was finally able to get out in the garage and devote some time to the Blazer. I removed the front cap, front suspension and have everything disconnected and ready to pull the engine out which I will do tomorrow. All this so I can install my dropmember and get things lined up to install the LS2 and tranny. The poor 52 has to move to my buddys house for a little while so I can lift the tub off the frame and have room to work on both frame and body at the same time. Found a little rust when I removed the heater box. I will knock that out and shave the firewall while the engine is pulled.

Can you give me a price on the motor and tranny? I have someone looking for that exact setup. What size are the wheels? How much for them?

Re: Project Blaz-Air

Make me an offer on the engine and tranny. I dont want it to sit around to long once I pull it. Its very strong and runs great. Just want to go with the new EFI. The wheels I will take 1500 for rims and tires and will also throw in the bag plates and control arms in with the wheels as well if you want them

wheels are 20x10 rear and 17x8 front. Nice wheels

Re: Project Blaz-Air

Little more work today. I pulled the 350, dropped the original crossmember cleaned up the frame a little and started mocking up the Porterbuilt Dropmember. looks like im going to have to drill out the mounting holes a little in the frame in order to bolt the dropmember.

Good progress. What color are you going with for the chassis?

Re: Project Blaz-Air

After removing the rockers that the PO threw on I found some redneck body work that the PO did. Seems that they had patched over rust that was in the floor pan and then just put some new rockers on top of the patches. So I have spent some time removing and replacing.
