Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
So i ended up setting a grant roll pan which took a while to get but was well worth the wait.. it brings the rollpan flush with the tailgate... I also decided to put some Hitech led's in the roll pan. they will be completely flush smoked and cleared over when the paint is all finished. I also completed the inner fender wells and flushed those up with the stock fender lip they will be painted body color and put some clear bra over then to prevent chipping. the inside the fender wells will be seam sealed and undercoated.
as Dennis as mentioned i have changed he color on the truck about a million times im pretty sure the painter wants to kill me by now i am set on this color |

Ooh yeah i almost for got i did get a Painless stand alone harness for the motor.. with tuned ECM. So if any of you guys swaping this motor want to know what wires you need and how to setup the relays and fuses let me know i can take some pictures for you and draw some stuff up! that way you can mod the factory ones with some peice of mind! haha the guy also through in the harness for the alternator!

Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
Looks good man, I am debating hard on bagging my truck. I need to get a welder so i can make my own 4 link and all that, do you think with a mig welder i can do it, my garage only has 110 volt outlets so itd have to be a smaller one

Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
I would not attempt and frame work with a 110v welder.. here is my advice i have been building trucks for a while.. i don't want to sound rude or anything, but if you want to bag your truck save up and do it right... it's not something you can wake up tomorrow and say well i am going to build a truck! You have to have some sort of plan and money at you disposal to build a truck.. if you want to save some money then you need to have the know how on welding and fabricating with some competence in suspension design. (In no way am i saying you don't from what i hear you went to school at Wyotech). Now if tools are you down fall from getting to your goal save up or find someone to do the parts you aren't able to do yourself. thats my .02 cents

Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
hahaha.. i know what needs to be done right and all that, after all i did build my truck so i know it is an expense to do anything, and build a few cars before this truck. The welding part i have that down thats not the issue the issue is the small ****ty apartment garage i have to work out of. Ill get it done no problem have enough connections to use equipment, just thought id ask and see what you thought. I may be young but not dumb at what im doing.
