Re: Our Trucks and a Uhaul Trailer

best place to hook up for tail lights (on our trucks) is on the firewall. I have a harness for that. Personally, when I do local tows, I just fire up the vehicle being towed. (assumung it runs) this gives the power steering for ease in neighborhoods, and also gets the pump on the tranny going.

That's a good idea.

Re: Our Trucks and a Uhaul Trailer

Taken about 3 weeks ago.
It was actually MUCH cheaper to rent the trailer locally than a one way rental. Pulled perfectly behind our Tahoe but we did keep a resonable speed around 65. 1400 miles each way.
I was a little confused when I rented it. I said I was going to pull a Honda Accord but meant to say GMC truck.

Re: Our Trucks and a Uhaul Trailer

Thanks Longhorn.
Actually they do not look as good in person in my opinion. The fronts are just a little small. They did clean up really good. Here is another picture of them.
I got a set of 6 lug rally wheels with the truck and I put them on last night. It gives the truck a much more stock look. I prefer look of the slots but I need to figure out something for the front. The rears are huge and look awesome!

Re: Our Trucks and a Uhaul Trailer

slam it.
You'll never notice the small wheels again.
While i love rallys too, a set of real wide slots in back and normal slots up front with nice looking rubber on it will ALWAYS get my attention.

Yeah that truck looks like a beast with the slots. I put those same wheels on the Satellite I gave to my oldest boy.

Ha! I told you at the Brother's show that you couldn't have just one truck in your driveway/garage. Welcome to the club! I have 3 plus the 55

Re: Our Trucks and a Uhaul Trailer

I'm tired of all you 69-72 owners stealing all the buddy buckets there should be a set in all the 67-68 first then you guys can fight over the rest LOL. Very nice truck by the way really like the old skool spinner keystones style wheels.

Actually those are the correct bucket seats and the center section is out of a late model Dodge...Similar to the early buddy set up as it has storage in the upper and lower section as well.

I thought the center looked a little different but wasn't sure why but I see it now because I used to have a dodge with the center. How much modifying is invovled in making that work.

Not sure it that is how I purchased it...I'll have to take a better look at it to see if I can give you some idea or talk to the po and find out.
