On my way to work I drove by the shop where my truck is being worked on and noticed the bed sitting outside.I figured that meant something was getting done yesterday!

Drive it everday to work.
Finally installed sun visors, made a custom stereo inset to hide the stock hole, and replaced the thermostat housing due to a leak.

How cold does it get there? I can do my best to send you ours this winter!

Re: What have you done to your 67-72 Chevrolet/GMC

I pulled a couple spark plugs to see how she was running.Did a compression check on a couple cylinders.Adjusted the timing.Reset the idle mixture screws on the 1406.

Took a lap through town her.Got out to the country and was gonna open her up and I ran outta gas!Luckily a freind was within 10 minutes of me.Sometimes I hate them cell phones. But they can be life savers to.

On the way home I laid into it and got a third gear scratch outta the old girl.

And I took a picture of it with my nova...

Turned the heat on in the garage so the truck would not get cold for the next 4 months. I like to go out and work on it in my shorts and t shirt.

I checked the plug wires to make sure they were on the right plugs, and found two out of place. It seems that when the carb. messed up the man that stopped to help started pulling wires and did not get them on right.

I brushed off 6" of snow, locked in the front hubs, and cruised oround town to see how many Crown Vics could catch me. Used to do it at 17 and it's just as fun at 49.

Re: What have you done to your 67-72 Chevrolet/GMC

Ordered the wiring harness and alternator resister. Picked up the 1 piece oil pan gasket, called on a set of fenders, drooled over the pics on this site. Wife calls the web site "Wills truck porn website" to her friends and they all pick on me. ugh well - this site rocks.

Re: What have you done to your 67-72 Chevrolet/GMC

i recieved my 2000 pb front sway bar.... I say that because 4 months ago i started by just trying to order a swaybar from porterbuilt i had no intentions on buying a Dropmember or rear 4 link .... so basically my 250 sway bar set me back about $2000

Went out in the garage and worked on the wood bed while my 13 year old son polished the stainless bolts. He was proud of the great job he did and so was I.

Re: What have you done to your 67-72 Chevrolet/GMC

Life has got in the way and I have not touched either one of my projects in a while.

The last thing I did on the '67 was put a new water pump and thermostat on the l6 250.

If I remember right the last thing I did on the '71 was put a better hood on it.

I have been concentrating on getting things ready for the winter and building a craft room.

Heck I can hardly get in my garage because of the mowers. It is time to service them and move them to their winter storage.
