CA 4x4 sway bar changeover - Page 3 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I used the 87 ton 4x4 front sway bar...simply drilled 2 holes in the 67-72 front crossmember and bolted the sway bar to rear leaf spring shackle's (1/4 inch think stock with holes)

Was easy to do without changing the front member..

this is on a stock 69 K/20 frame.

I hauled 5,280 lbs of gravel on it today and it handles great.

The sway bars are 1 1/4" diameter. There is a small wrinkle at the center of the crossmember. Here's some pics.

Do you have just the brackets circled in the pics for sale?

I have the sway bar and the crossmember, but the PO beat the brackets to hell getting them off.

Sorry, I don't have any loose brackets. Sadly, those are the pieces that get welded on and torchered.
