Call 641-227-3881, ask for Greg. I'm sure he has some good used ones at a reasonble price. He is north west of Baxter though.

make sure if you go to the high life, that you get the bacon wrapped tater tots.

I think a Sat night trip to the High Life / El Bait shop sounds like an awesome plan.

btw, when are all you KS / MO guys planning to be in town?

I'll be in town on Thursday.
We're staying at the Host motel,... the Marriott in West Des Moines.
Still not sure if I'll be taking the blazer.

I'll be bringing up the rear and arriving Friday either mid-morning or in the afternoon, depending when we can get out of the house in the am.

Also staying at the host hotel. Wife and I are planning on partaking in a lot of the recommendations made by those that have attended in the past. Will add the High Life and El Bait.

Question... we were talking about towing and had heard there might be tougher regulations in IA. Anyone know?

Re: Des Moines Good-Guys (July 2-4)

Any tolls/weight stations we need to worry about with towing a truck on a tandem axle trailer w/ 1/2t truck?

I have never had a problem towing a Car/Truck and I use a One Ton Pickup. Just make sure its strapped good that is the only thing I have ever had a problem with. And there is no tolls in IA driving Hwy/Int. Can't wait to meet you guys.

Re: Des Moines Good-Guys (July 2-4)

Beautiful forecast! I hope it stays that way! As far as towing, just make sure to have your vehicle strapped at 4 corners. Other than that the IA DOT should leave you a lone.

Thanks guys, and this is the only way we roll.

Also... any car wash recommendations that are close to West Des Moines (host hotel)?
