Re: 92 Sonoma
Should be fairly simple, lots of info on the 'net. Here's a good site from a fellow up this ways, scroll down for tech stuff.

Re: 92 Sonoma
I just put a jack under the door and use a drift and hammer to knock the pins out, then a big pair of channel locks to get the bushings out and install the new bushing. If im not mistaken I think they may be two different size bushing for each pin so make sure u put the right bushing in the right spot before installing the pin or it will be just a loose as before.

Re: 92 Sonoma
This is starting to be routine, get one thing fixed something else breaks, either by my foolish self or the truck. I got the bolt that was stripped out of the passenger side seat belt and I replaced the door pins. But I was loading scrap Thursday night and I shattered my back glass It was my own fault and I wasnt mad at anyone or anything, just kinda stood there as it shattered lol. I was throwing go-kart pistons in the bed and clipped the corner of the glass.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Ran into a little problem, I need new alternator brackets, but where do I find them? The bracket on the bottom broke off, and so did the one on the side towards the drver side of the alt. Does anyone know where I can find some after market stock brackets at?

Re: 92 Sonoma
Not really an up-date, just some pics of the little beast.
Back glass the night I shattered it. Taken out, drove like this for a week. It was cold... This is one of the bolt I had to remove, this was the passenger side seat belt bottom bolt. I also replaced the door pins on the driver side, door shuts and opens nice and easy now. The truck earning its keep, for a $600 truck, it has defiantly paid for itself by a long shot. I ended up have 1500LBs in the bed of the truck, brought me $150, plus some aluminum. It totaled out to be $179.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Maybe check the ground wire from the sender unit to the frame. Is your gauge bouncing around or kinda doing what it wants? Are the other gauges working OK?

Re: 92 Sonoma
Every other gauge works perfect. On the fuel guage, it pretty much stays in one position no matter how much gas I put in the truck, even when i shut it off, it still stays in that same place.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Try putting the pink wire direct to ground.

Re: 92 Sonoma
So just touch the pink wire to the cab floor?

Re: 92 Sonoma
Yeah, that'll do. See if the guage moves.

Re: 92 Sonoma
its most probably the sending unit. Mine only works when its almost to E and it just bounces around when it does. Once you put any gas in it, it just goes way past F and stays there until your almost out of gas. Its done the same thing with 2 different guages. Its possible it is the guage, but s10s are notorious for having sending unit problems.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Been doing some body work past 2 days. Gonna try to paint it over my Christmas break.
Had to shrink the 2 spots you can see in the hood. Started filling one dent, Im guessing someone decided my hood was a seat and left a nice size dent. Not deep, but wide. Well here are the pics. Here is were I started yesterday Todays progress Tomorrow Im gonna get the hood done, hopefully, and start on the driver side fender. Tell me what ya'll think so far.

Re: 92 Sonoma
I knew it wasnt a bad thing, I was just wandering man. Yeah I was kinda worried about using a torch on my truck, but then I thought, whats the worst that could happen? I need a new hood lol? Ya never learn if you dont try. I got the smaller dent pretty much done tonight. Im going to buy some better filler tomorrow as you suggested too.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Well got some up-dates. Last night I bought a hood, set of power doors, set of bucket seats with console, clear marker lights up front, and a good set of fender trim all for $125. Does anyone know how to wire the doors up? And where would be the best place for me to get new window motors and stuff? The truck was a flood truck so I got to get the doors working agian.
Another question I got is my belt keeps getting torn up and coming off. All my brackets seem to be in line, but the tensioner pulley is kicked out a little bit agian. I have already replaced it once for being out of line. Also, does anyone know how to delete the pollution pump? I saw a guide on a site once but cant remember how I found the site. Anywho, Ill get some pics of everything soon. And thanks for any help ya'll can give me.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Just some up-dates on what Im currently doing to the truck. Havent been doing anything to the actual truck, its been way to cold here with more snow than Ive ever seen. I have though been working on the dash, as its small enough to fit into my room for me to work on. Over Christmas break I started glassing and smoothing my dash, nothing custom or anything just a smooth stock dash.
I started out by taking all the blue crap off it and then started putting some fiberglass down. Now Im in the filling and smoothing stage. But anyway here are the pics. The only custom thing in the whole dash(except I did delete two air vents) is where my radio goes. Here are the most recent pics I got. These are from yesterday and today. It was warm enough for me to work in the garage this weekend so I got alot more done then usual. And some stuff that did get done to the truck. First is my new exhaust, single in/dual out muffler running out the back at 45's with 3 1/2 in by 18 in tips. And second I got my new to me bottom lights installed and with that I also got my blinkers working agian. And sorry about the way the pictures are, the first few were taken with my now broke camera and the ones after that were taken with my phone.

Re: 92 Sonoma
Oh trust me, the first belt I put on there looked like that. I got it all fixed now, ended up having to get my bottom alternator bracket re-welded. The bracket had snapped and I didnt realize it.
