Re: Trucks Working
Tossing a few pics a second time here since this is probably the maximum this 1-ton truck is going to be asked to do. Got to admit these trucks are built to work!
This time was with the new trailer and it did make a difference. Worked perfectly. Six ricks of wood in one run, 3 on the truck and 3 on the trailer more or less evened out to the other. Stopped in at a local elevator on the way home just to see how heavy I was...just over 8.5 ton GVW. Will weigh in sometime empty to compare. Should be interesting. Anyway, this last load completes our wood supply for the winter. Maybe some smaller runs for others but not like this one. All I have left to do now is unload and stack it! And yes, that is a floor jack on the load. I believe in taking that along for the ride and the jack stand behind the seat with assorted tools anytime I do these wood runs just in case. Have a safe week-end! Mark

I wish I had a pic of mine when I was working for a masonry company. I had to use it one time for a complete job. 25' ladder, 10 80 pound bags of type S, all the tools, buckets, tarps, and about a 100 pieces of bricks and all the rubble of a chimney rebuild. Needless to say, it was squatting!

Re: Trucks Working
I had my c10 shortbed half ton .. Full with 1 ton 1/2 of metal.. That poor truck look like it had a major drop in the back.. But man wasnt me and my pop surprise that the truck ran stronger with all that weight in it. My friends 86 f150 was already struggling with not even a ton yet. Aint that something

Re: Trucks Working
Wish I had a camera to post a picture of my truck "working" right now. It's parked next to an S-class Mercedes on the roof of my parking garage. People love seeing a crew cab dually coming at them around the corner of these little SoCal parking structures... Oh and last night I used it to haul a pissed off Racoon from my back yard over to the Bolsa Chica wetlands... Probably overkill on the truck with that one!
