I paid $700 for some H-beams and Forged KB's. $300 for the crank. you can save a lot on KB forged. The heads were $1400. A BBC short block will handle lots of power in stock form. No need to get the 4340 stuff for a street app. Will save lots there.

im so amped to start working on this thing. i found out it came out of a 79 truck. its only a 2 bolt but is fine for my build, and its a virgin block i think in the next two weeks im going to drop the block off and have it baked bored and checked

look for 781, 049 or 990 heads the first two are big oval ports and should be easier to find. The third set is a closed chamber square port like came on original ls7's in Chevelle's, Corvette's and Nova's.

hey guys can you give me some input on solid roller setup on the street as far as duration and lift ranges that are safe for 10:1 to 10.25:1 on 93 octane
