and he really loves the aroma when it gets up to temp, doesn't have to bend over to sniff. he can just lay back and enjoy.
I did have another motor. that one didn't seem to want to move at all.

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

this p/s pump and brkts showed up on my doorstep today n/c for my 250 i6, so that made my day after seeing what some guys were wanting for them on ebay and elsewhere

By rondavid at 2011-04-28

someone from here told me about another 250 p/s brkt which I had bought for $50.00 + postage and that was al that I got was that and pulley for the w/pump

By rondavid at 2011-04-28
and it was thrashed where the adj bolt goes( you never get to see this in the pics that they send you. so now I have a spare bkt
I did get my 87 3/4t all stripped of everything that I needed for this thing, frt and rear ends. debating whether or not to put the tbi 5.7 and newer 4 speed in as the 250 actually seems adequate. it had dual tanks and both had working fuel pumps in them

I gave up looking for one for my 292. It keeps my arms in shape anyways. Did you check out my new old truck?

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

hey; I did check out your old truck. it is going to look good. seems to be a fair bit of work going on there'
my preference would have been just to put a 3 or 4" dropped frt axle in it-(that is just my own personal preference though). I don't mind the ride of leaf springs and the pavement is pretty decent these days(around here anyway).

put a straighter bumper and change the tires and wheels on my 65 and seemed to clean it up a little

If a 250 brkt will fit on there and work; I can send you one, but it is only the main brkt. the little brkts that mount the pump to the main brkt, don't look to serious to make as long as you have a pic and some measurements for them. and you would need a double w/p pulley. the one in the above pic.

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

Thanks bud. I bought one of those to see if I could get it to work. It never did. I still have it. When I get rich I'll buy one off ebay. Truck looks right at home. Dropped axle would be way to easy. Besides how would it sit on the ground.

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

I thought that I wasn't going to do anything to this thing except get rid of it when my other is operational. it has a rust issue around the upper inside w/s and down the "A" pillars. i have a good spare roof but then still have to replace the pillars. to much. I did receive a 66 cab that just have some minor rust problems at the cab mount supports ans surrounding area. I think that the doors will also be forthcoming. I already have all the pieces for the floor and braces.
it even had all tinted glass. he did leave the rear window, but the other is going into his panel

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

it was pretty easy to load. just set the cab back on those blocks, then ran some 2x8 up to the deck then slid a sheet of 3/4 plywood under the cab and slid it on

Re: got a 65 930 GMC today

had to change the headlight buckets on one side. the adj stanchions snapped off and the l/beam wanted to fall out. other than that just add gas. cost factor is now down to $100.00 a year
