Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....

Well, im at somewhat of a stand still. Im waiting on my wheels to show up, so i can build my control arms, and untill i do, the truck cannot get down from the jack stands.

The amount of short cut hackery i found on this truck still amazes me. I just continue to fix each bit. got the wiring in side the cab all figured and fixed. As well as the wiring under the hood, that is all clean and re routed now and looking good.

I have the rear suspension sprayed flat black and fully assembled.

The interior is dropped off at the upholstery shop, getting covered.

waiting on my door panel covers and dash covers from stitch as well.

Its all a waiting game now.

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....

Wheels showed up. bolted my first round of control arms up into their location. Laying out on a 33.5 od tire is not fun. Im kicking myself in the ass for chosing this large of a tire now, but oh well.

Also, been working on a custom one off steering wheel to match the rotary wheels, just need to slug it out next, but im sure it will the the only one.

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....

Wish i was updating with something more supstantial, but im not.

Upper and lower arms have reached their final design, and are being cut. I was able to lay out on a 33" od tire, with arms that bolt directly to the stock x-member, and lay out fully, with no steering modifications. Firewall harness has been re-routed. My tires were hitting my brake booster, so i was able to remedy that by installing a smaller booster setup. Started the motor up again today, everything checks out and seems to be working fine. Im still kinda regreting going with that large of a tire on the front of this truck, but, **** it i guess.

Stuff is going to start coming together here really fast like, so ill try to keep updated as much as possible.

Seats are close to being done..

This truck is going to be sweet!

Can't wait to see the arms you came up with to be able to lay out on a 33" tire with the stock crossmember and no steering mods.

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....

This is the only update i can offer. I hope it will suffice. In the next 30 days, expect a **** storm of updates. If its not off the jack stands and pulling out of the garage under its own power by then, im throwing it away lol

If i wernt so busy in the shop, this would be done all ready, but this past year has been unreal.

Re: New Crew Cab Project Truck....

There is a glimmer of hope for this truck after all.

It just may see the pavement this year. With some luck.
