Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
Under that ugly tasteless exterior is one damn healthy Mustang eating stroker engine and it does quite well on the highway. I realize that the ground effects are not everyones cup of tea, but at the time that I put them on, it was mine. The next project is going to be different. However, it is also a little different and some will dislike the 3" chop to the 68 C-10 truck. So as you can see, I have my thoughts and you have yours. Drool if you must, just do it with pride.

One thing I have to point out. The reason the paint is still in good shape---the ground effects keeps the road crap off of the finish. I drove the truck on several cross-country trips in ndifferent years and it stands up every time.

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
Heres a pic of mine when I got my truck, they were white and my son was tearing apart 2 85 Blazers and gave me a set of the stainless ones. Just havent gotten any pics yet (Had to replace the passenger one with one from LMC so you can tell the new one LOL)

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
Thanks, 5-6" drop with 20x8's and 255/40/20 in front and a 20x10 and a 295/40/20 out back. 3" backspace on the rear wheels with a narrowed (2" per side) stock 10 bolt.

Some close ups.......I doubt they could be bent without a kink or snap......or heated marks......

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
I am switching to the "elephant ears" and getting rid of the camper style. These are huge compared to the elephant ears. I also went with the convex mirror glass for the passenger side! Can't wait to put them on!

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
I got mine off of mid '90's van (electric), your's look like they fit the door a little better than mine do. I'm think'n of go'n with the smaller mirror's when I paint it, aint seen any Dually's with them on it.

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
I have the switch that came with the Conversion van, I have'nt hook'd em up yet cause I want'd to put the switch in the console but did'nt have the it built at that time, if I keep the miirors I'll mount the switch in the side of the console.

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors
thank's, when I do paint it , more than likely it will be solid red (mabey black on the bottom, mabey) . although paint is at the bottom of a very long list consisting of 3 truck's and 3 car's. they might not even make red paint by the time I get ready for it !
