However, it is also a little different and some will dislike the 3" chop to the 68 C-10 truck. So as you can see, I have my thoughts and you have yours.

Back when I put this together (that would be in the mid nineties timeslot) I did not take many pictures. The computer cameras were not very plentiful, then. I did the body work and my paint buddy did the rest of the painting, I did the finish work on the paint---many hours of wet sanding and buffing. I and another guy built the engine (More than once---because I put a rod through the block of one engine) We built the tranny to take what the engine puts out and the 12 bolt posi rear end has been there since I bought it.

One thing I have to point out. The reason the paint is still in good shape---the ground effects keeps the road crap off of the finish. I drove the truck on several cross-country trips in ndifferent years and it stands up every time.

Thanks, 5-6" drop with 20x8's and 255/40/20 in front and a 20x10 and a 295/40/20 out back. 3" backspace on the rear wheels with a narrowed (2" per side) stock 10 bolt.

Re: Trucks with Elephant Ears Mirrors

I am switching to the "elephant ears" and getting rid of the camper style. These are huge compared to the elephant ears. I also went with the convex mirror glass for the passenger side! Can't wait to put them on!

I have the switch that came with the Conversion van, I have'nt hook'd em up yet cause I want'd to put the switch in the console but did'nt have the it built at that time, if I keep the miirors I'll mount the switch in the side of the console.

thank's, when I do paint it , more than likely it will be solid red (mabey black on the bottom, mabey) . although paint is at the bottom of a very long list consisting of 3 truck's and 3 car's. they might not even make red paint by the time I get ready for it !
