Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Thanks for the picture expansion and the compliment,Et!
Not all are Chevies. The car under the car cover in the first picture is a 1986 Mercury Topaz. It was my mom's car. The blue 1980,3/4 GMC with the commercial bed was my dad's work truck. My friend says that my wife will be rich when I die! I don't plan to die! There's a bunch more cars and trucks outside too. Mike./ |

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
IRWINDALE RACEWAY!!
(edited by staff) It looks to be from back in the 70s when the track (drag strip and motocross/speedway motorcycle track) was located on the site of what is now Miller beer. I grew up in west covina and my dad owned a union 76 station in monrovia and we would drive past the track while going to work with him. When the top fuel cars ran there in the late 60s early 70s I could hear them out my bedroom window (about 10 miles away) I was in elementary school and I remember the last race at Irwindale several guys who lived on my street who ran their street cars there regularly. (edited by staff) Wow that brings back some memories! Last edited by ETsC10; 10-17-2012 at 07:24 AM. Reason: edited content...keep it nice, keep it clean - do not troll please |

jgrisafi - what is that floor? It looks like it goes up just in front of your jack stands or the color is an illusion. Great space.

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Paying fabrication jobs have slowed a bit, so taking the opportunity to paint the shop - long overdue. Finished the far wall and 1/3 of the ceiling. Just shoved everything over and started painting the back wall and rest of the ceiling...

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Finished painting the shop a couple days ago and started to put things back and re-organize. With the paint reflecting more light, the shop is a lot brighter.

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
You guys have some nice hangouts. I built mine a few years ago and have slowly finished it off. It has worked out sweet, it stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This year I added the lift and bar/bathroom area.
