Re: Lets see some P's!

The one with the topper built on top, the windshield sure looks like a 67-72 windshield upsidedown.

A long time ago I thought it would be neat to make a motorcycle race truck out of a Panel truck. I just never had the gumption to do it.

And the vans especially the forward control ones are just to cool.

Re: Lets see some P's!

There's a 1985 p20 for sale near my location... I cannot post the picture but the guy says it has a 10' bed/box... It seems to have 8lugs wheels... What motor/trans combo can it have? The only negative thing I see is it has a reefer on the top but I guess it's easy to remove... What wheelbase could it be? It would be nice with some big wheels and porterbuilt setup! Could be interesting to see a stepvan bagged on dually wheels...

Problems with that are:
Almost impossible to import it to the US.
I saw several GMCs up there-none in the US, Whats a reefer top? I like reefer.
I may have to settle on a chevy-But really need the title to say GMC - im setting a coe cab on the frame. ide like a long wheel base like the orange one in the link and a 292 manual tranz

Visiting Quebec would be cool. but not this time of yr-couldn't stand the weather. half the p20's are titled as 1 ton,
or unspecified.
Sellers think its a -minus to refir to one as a 3/4 ton, --when actually its a+ as far as having to deal with any insurance company in the US. AAA wont even talk to an existing customer about 1 ton Dually anything.
And half the time they are imbeciles at listing the information about qvw even engine type etc.

Re: Lets see some P's!

About the reefer... There's a thermo-king unit on the top and it seems the interior is insulated. An easy thing to remove for someone who doesn't need it. Maybe what I said wasn't really clear but I think it's a 3/4ton, it's not a dually anyway... I was just saying that a stepvan on 22"semi dually wheels would look killer.
Your also right about the weather; winter is coming! You better wait down south

Re: Lets see some P's!

This is mine with rendering of what it'll look like down the road hopefully. It's a '63 though with a '47-54 dash & frontend styling. It's a confused van & doesn't know where it really belongs lol Never seen another like it & it was a custom build for a local FD to use as their Command Center.

Well he says you'll never get a speeding ticket in it I've got a 350 in the long bed, it's fast enough.

Welding is a lot like sex, you don't have to be great with the rod as long as you thoroughly prep the surface and your good at grinding

O.K. , got it now .

That price seems a bit steep for a rust bucket but , it also looks ready to go to work .
