Well I got it running this morning. I had problems with the points distributor but finally got it figured out. I didn't run it very long 'cause I was just pouring some gas in the carb. I am going to take the tank out and flush it so I can run it longer, if it ever cools down a little outside....

Agreed! I've bought God-knows-how-many 67-72's over the years (along with Camaros, GTO's, Chevelles, Novas, Road Runners, etc) , and there are 14 67-72's currently on my property right now. I get accused of being lucky all the time, and I guess sometimes I am, but I beat the bushes and keep my head on a swivel! I'm always looking!

no one has said it, but this honestly looks to be a one owner truck to me. Some original papers in the glove box, original key in the ignition, not modified in any way shape or form... just an old man who used his truck up, and threw it away.

Great score on a nice looking truck ! I noticed on the gauge bezel , where the choke knob would be , there is a chrome piece , about the size of a 50 cent piece . What is it ???

That is a choke delete plate. There is a piece of plastic under it that has a tab on it that covers up the word "choke".

This truck also has a 3/8" fuel line from tank to carb which was usually only used on the big block trucks.

3/8 line was on all V6 trucks, all big block, and all small blocks with a 4 bbl carb.

Nice find! I have seen a few '68s with ram assist p/s. Not sure,but figure maybe they were early builds?

If they can be seen,I see them. And,all it takes is any one foot square. But,around here I never see well optioned trucks any more. I did just hear of a '69 short wide bed CST big block someone has in a garage. I find more from talking than I do looking these days.
