Thanks! That was my first paint job, I sanded the entire truck down to bare steel. There was no rust but the last person to paint it apparently didn't own a hammer, instead of tapping out the dents he filled them with Bondo. I literally filled a 5 gallon bucket with the Bondo I knocked off of it!

Re: GMC pictures please

Here's mine when I brought it home last year.

I'm not allowed to work on it until I finish the baby room (which should be done by the time the kid's in high school )

You should tell her that surface rust on your tailgate is contagious and will spread to her yellow Pontiac if she doesn't let you work on it soon!

Re: GMC pictures please

How about this one :

You can see a little more of it in these:

I was enjoying a rare drive in the snow. I had owned it 10 years and never had it in any. I only did it because it was the first snow and there had been no salt spread yet that year. Kinda sucks to have a 4wd you can't use in snow. I used to use these for 12 months but those days have past (as long as I live around here)

Re: GMC pictures please

I'm glad to see all the nice GMC trucks here recently. It seems like they are finally getting popular, instead of being the fat kid who never gets picked. Here is my 70 just to add to the mix.

Re: GMC pictures please

Ok it's technically not a GMC but it looks like one now! Front end came off a 69 K1500 I hauled home with intentions of using the frame for a 4x4 conversion on my 72 Chevy. GMC sheetmetal was in much better conditon as far as rust and I have fond memories of using my cousin's 71 GMC around Nashville in the late 80's doing lawncare!
