how's the progress on this thing this last week? I am curious, what are you doing for interior?

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
Thanks Notch.
Smokin, the last couple of weeks have been really busy around here so I really have no new progress to report. For the interior I have a set of early 90's chev buckets I plan on using a original console. In my opinion they are as close to the original buckets as you can get without having original seats The rest of the interior will be fairly stock with the exception of possibly shaving the center of the dash.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
The ride is turning out sikk! Luv the colors. Can't wait to see more pics when you fire back up. Know how it is when you got parts and no time to work on it.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
I haven't been working on the truck lately. We are quite slow at work and i am allowed to work on a few projects for home, so I decided to renovate the shop. I used to build research labs at work so that is the general look I have gone for.
Here is what it looked like before. The countertop in the 4th pic is also new. I didn't start taking pics till halfway through

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
I am a little over halfway done. Here is where i'm at right now.
The countertops will be covered in laminate. The long narrow shelves are for the orange nut/bolt containers. The sink will be on the right with a parts washer to left. The front counter is just a tad over 19' long. This bench will be for "soft" work. Underneath the wall of pictures is where I will put the "hard" bench. It will have a few lower cabinets and be covered with a steel plate.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
A buddy of mine offered to give me a hand in shaving my firewall. The three panels on the left were purchased from Infanti, excellent fit. I fabbed up the rest of the fillers while my buddy welded them in. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, I can't wait to get her completely smoothed out and see what she looks like then. I am really happy with the way the shop turned out.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
Sweet, very clean firewall. The garage looks good too, youll have a ton of bench space which you can also never have enough of, but the coolest picture is you got your blazer out of storage! You can see spring is near now

Thanks, where are you from? I have been following your thread, looks great by the way. There use to be a truck running around town here that was identical to yours.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
Haha, thanks your right I now have over 40ft of counter space. All I have to do is polish up the wheels and put them back on and give her a good detail and i'm ready to roll. I'm not sure if Rick got ahold of you or not but we may have one more crappy door if you need it. Just let me know.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
The truck I am thinking of was painted at Len's Autobody here in town. It was the first time I had seen a truck with the newer bed. This was about 15-20yrs ago.
