Did replace body mounts prior, doors and everything lined up before. So should line up again. Being a one man show lining up doors are a major pain.

I know all about that. I built a door jack out of one of those pneumatic work stools, looks like dammit but it sure helps!

That’s funny. I used my pneumatic shop stool as a jack too. It wasn’t tall enough to help a lot but did give me a resting point about half way up.

Well my goal for the year was to not let this get to the second page of builds, but there it was......
If you guys could watch this short video and tell me if I need to replace the bushings in my door hinges. I think I know the answer but want to get a second opinion. Also best place to get them. Thanks

Thank you. That was exactly the process I would’ve gone through! Lol.
Looked like he just had a generic set of pins and bushings. Anyone know what to ask for at autozone or any other box store

Ok I ordered the replacement pins and bushings from classic industries. They should be here Monday. My impatience got the better of me and I couldn’t wait 7 days for the hinges to soak in the 1:1 ratio of acetone and tranny fluid.
I found an article from stovebolt that showed cutting the hinges with a hacksaw and pounding out the two end pieces. Worked pretty easily. Apply heat and tap out. So now I can patiently wait for the parts to show up.
I was surprised to see plastic bushings in these hinges. I was expecting brass

Got the new pins in, with brass bushings. Very solid door now. Still didn’t help lining it up.

I’m in the process of tacking the rocker in. Noticed a “wave” in the rocker. Any suggestions on how to remedy it?

Well it’s far from done. Far from perfect. But when you realize that it has been sitting for 2 1/2 years and the kids are getting older with no memories of riding in it. So slap it together and get to making memories. It can get perfect later.

So I had to weld up a small crack in the fuel tank that had been seeping fuel since I had bought it. Put fuel in and it fired right up. Drove around my property and it got hot quick. So I’m off to replace the thermostat and hopefully it fixes it.
After that the top will come off and we will begin cruising it. The only rust left is the driver side rocker. The rest of the truck is solid.
