Thanks! It's not as nice as many of the trucks on this site, but it's slowly getting nicer, a bit at a time. |

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
I have had my truck 11 years this month. It was my daily until 3 or 4 years ago when gas prices went nuts. I don't have overdrive, so it drinks a lot of gas. After gas prices went up, I couldn't afford to drive it daily any more.
Since that time, I have moved out to the country, and have a 30 mile drive to work each way. There's no way I could do it now. Slonaker |

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Thanks for the words!!
[QUOTE=Cue-Ball;5280366]Never seen a roots blown C10 daily driver before. Kudos to you! That thing looks bad ass! Thanks for your words as well!! That was my intentions when I built this engine combo over 4 years ago, to be a little different. Really nothing more than a glorified intake swap, except instead of just inhaling the air it is stuffing it in. The computer helps keep things street friendly. Obviously I wasn't concerned about mpg when I did this. But on the highway, even with the rear gearing, I can knock down 10 mpg. In town tho, never been able to figure that out since the weight of my right foot varies so much.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
This is my daily driver its a 1986 GMC 2500, it has a 1 ton rear end in it, powerful rebuilt 350 and a turbo 400 tranmission with shift kit i bough this truck 2 years ago on my 15th birth day for $800 the floor boards were shot and the rockers were shot, i put new floor boards, rocks pannels and cab corners, rebuilt the motor in my fathers shop and took the tranmisison to a friend of mine and he watched me rebuild it not to many 16 year olds that can say they did that. i beefed up the suspension a little bit adding 2 leaf springs to the back on each side and 2 on the front on each side. and added a western ultra mount 8 foot snow plow. it has flowtech headers and true dual exhaust with flowmaster orgional 40s to chrome tips. i painted the truck the paint code of International Harvester Red and rhinoed the bottom and the floor inside the cab and in the motor camparent. When the truck is not getting drove back to school its working hard pulling a 5th wheel trailer for my Fathers Excavating Company, Its been to Indianapolis, Chicago, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Its A Truck I will Never Get Rid Of Because its my first truck and the first truck i restored from the ground up

I drive my '87 V20 for work purposes. Unfortunately that has slowed the restoration to a crawl since I need it to make money.

Mine gets used if I need to pull the trailer or go some where but it is only a mile for me to work and I drive my JD Gator every day. I went 2 months and never started the truck from January to March.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
After seeing the trucks of killthewabbit and fan2zee my mind is made up! I am putting all the trim back on my truck after I paint it. I always thought I would but now I'm positive. Those trucks are beautiful. KMK454's truck is unbelievable!
