Lets talk 1960-1961 cast iron mirror arms

Good example of a NOS 61passenger side short mirror arm.

As you can see in the pic there wasn't a lot of attention put into aligning the mirror arm shaft to the base. I have seen this on all the cast iron mirror arms I've come across. Some better than others...

Finally got around to painting the passenger side mirror arm. Its a 1961 model. Will use it until I can find a 1960 style passenger side version to match my driver side.

I used a sharpie to mark the casting numbers in case its useful to someone else.

Found a 1961 passenger side 4" cast iron mirror arm on ebay if anyone needs one. The passenger sides are much harder to find.

I believe the 4" mirror arm would probably have been installed on the corvair greenbriar, but anyways figured I'd post it in case it'll help someone else out.

I have a passenger 60 cast iron mirrors with the same bend on it now I know it's a real 60 from what i have been reading

I realize this is an old post, but is relevant to my question so thought I would post it here. I have what appears to be a 1961 LH (driver’s door) cast iron side view mirror - see attached pictures. I would appreciate if someone could confirm that or if this is instead a 1960 style?

Knowing which year this mirror arm is from will help me in my search to find the same style for the passenger side. Thank you.
