Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
My truck started driving mine after the frame-off in the first part of August and have put 900 miles on it since then. Not my daily driver.

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
I used to drive my 70 every day but after gas started soaring I bought a 63 Valiant with a slant 6. I use the truck just for hauling stuff now and thats maybe once a month

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
Try to drive mine a couple a times on the weekends only, so much nicer to drive something interesting than my 2011 F150 work truck, ditch the F. truck and drive the fun truck, can't wait for weekends.

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
Mine is about to become my daily driver. Previous DD was a Dodge Caravan that got over 20 MPG, but after 260,000 miles, it pretty much gave up.
I have been thrashing the wife's ricer daily, but that is not going over well. My commute is about 30 miles round trip, so 10 MPG is not the end of the world. Plus, when driving the GMC people get out of my way and it sounds good when I tromp the pedal.

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
I have been driving my truck daily, not that I want to
I have a 350, ARR 210 heads, big stupid comp cam, maggie 122, QF850 carb, 1.7 roller rockers, 3.73 gears, 3800 stall, and a detroit locker. it's fun but gets old trying to drive in town and deal with traffic. I get 8mpg and it melts in the rain... I am better off walking in the rain I should say as I found out tonight! By natepic at 2012-09-01

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
my '67 used to be my daily driver, but she lost that spot to the '96. The '96 lost that spot to the '97, but due to tranny problems I'm back to the '96. The '67 is fun to drive but manual brakes, manual steering and 3 on the tree aren't my idea of a DD.
any idea what kind of mileage you get with that combo? I've got an old 283 I was thinking about putting in my '67 with a tuneport setup and either a 700R4 or a 6 speed manual...

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
I drive my 67 alot. I overheated in it and fixed it on the spot, lost a crapload of oil from a bolt that fell out the front, almost blew a transmission line, and just recently (well i think i always had this prob) an intake leak from the carb adapter plate, but now its gonna be under the knife soon for a better intake that dont need one. Then ill be back on the street

Re: do you drive your truck often or not?
I've had 6 pickups in this style 2 when I was in high school, and still kicking my self in the butt for selling the 70 CST. but I have a 71 plain c-10, well not too plain I put a lt1 full fuel injection in it with a 700r4 and I'm hoping by next year its painted. its our only pickup and I would drive it more on trips if we had A/C in it. but my loves riding in it, but I doubt when I get the a ticket the cop will belive me when I say it was my daughters fault she told me to go fast :-)

This is my only ride, so I drive it to work, when I am cutting grass on the side, or where ever else I am going
