Yes it was! I tried to post some pics on your site, but they were too big...it was getting late, and I was lazy. I will take care of that and make some noise in your neighborhood.

It looks great, Jeff! I don't think I could stay focused on a project for that long if I couldn't drive it...

The entire bed, minus the floor only, is painted yellow just like the rest fo the truck, and as nice as the outside of the truck. The floor only will be line-x'd tan, to match the interior color.

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

Thanks everyone for the compliments! Yes, 12 years is a long time, and there were MANY times when I about threw in the towel due to lack of funds or garage time...but I stuck with it and am glad I did.

I will get some engine shots this weekend, maybe a couple interior (not quite finished unfortunately)

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

Here are a few engine bay shots. I didn't have time to clean it very well, so please ignore any dust/debris...it sat for a while...lol

I didn't want a chromed out engine, but instead wanted a simple and clean look. Most of the wiring is hidden (lights run inside the fenders and below theradiator), low mount Alan Grove accessory brackets, relocated battery, fuse box cover, shaved firewall, interior mounted ignition components, and subtle mix of aluminum and black to tie together with the interior of the truck.

Still need to install the wiper motor, tidy up the brake lines and spark plug wires, and ceramic coat the headers.

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

Here are a couple interior shots. The door panels are all retored and ready to go on, but I need to make a couple tweaks to the windows before I install. Interior mods consist of Autometer recessed gauges, fiberglassed dash pad, 4 speed tilit column, custom floor shifter base with B&M Magnum Grip shifter, factory low back buckets and center console, 77-80 door panels with 79-80 GM door speaker package, stock appearing AM/FM stereo with all modern internals including MPS and pre-amp outputs, 6x9 cab corner speaker brackets, and Spal remote power locks.

Like the engine bay, the interior needs a good cleaning. Will be installing a different steering wheel soon as well. What do you guys think, tan leather wheel or black???

Finally, just a couple shots of the bed. The floor will be line-x tinted tan to match the interior.

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

Looks great Jeff! I know this has been a long time coming. Can't wait to see the burnout pics from next year's Car Craft Summer Nats...

I'd go with the black wheel. You want to drive this thing right? The tan wheel would eventually show the dirt and wear from using it quicker than a black one.

Jeff, I love that interior. Did you use matching color on the dash pad and console and what brand of paint did you use? Also, what gas tank are you using? Your truck belongs in a magazine!

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

Ray, the dash and shifter console were painted by my painter using Dupont products. The color was matched to SEM Light Buckskin which the center console and all interior trim are painted.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Re: Its been twleve years, but Yeller finally sees the road!

There are so many little changes on this truck that leave the average guy wondering why it looks so clean. It looks amazing now that its all together.

One that that jumps out in that under hood shot is the washer bottle. Since this isn't a by the book restoration have you considered moving it farther forward and out of view? It would allow your eyes to focus on the clean crisp lines of your motor.
