Re: 72 "The Blue Burb of Happiness" Project
That looks fantastic!!!! I'm doing mostly the same thing to my 70 so it's very nice to see the photos. Great job.

Re: 72 "The Blue Burb of Happiness" Project
I got the exhaust tips/pipes and the rear bumper back from the plater. I like the smooth look of the bumper with no exposed bolts.
I have to replace one cracked exhaust manifold and replace the rear shocks and it is road ready.....almost time to celebrate.

Re: 72 "The Blue Burb of Happiness" Project
I am finished for this year. The blue burb is ready for her maiden voyage to the NSRA Rockie Mountain Nationals in Pueblo Colorado. I still have some items I want to do like improve the sound system and build a custom transition between the dash and the console but nothing that will keep me from enjoying it this summer.
I did take a short 300 mile local trip for a shake down and averaged 17.5 mpg. It might do a little better as it gets broke in. I ended up putting KYB monotube shocks on all 4 corners and it rides like a dream. A huge thanks to all the folks who gave me advice and helped with hard to find parts. This board is awesome.
