How about the wiper gear? The pivots and rods under the cowl vent.
I'm thinking if it's an original california truck, they probably aren't worn out.

the assembly that holds the column in its 2 or three pieces
not sure of more than that, i pulled mine out a few years back and now i need to start over with a column mount from scratch
