Re: Frustrated, discouraged and don't know what to do
I just did an engine install of a brand new GM crate for a friend. Got it all in, broke in the cam, got it some what tuned for a brand new motor, came back from a test drive and heard a bad knock. I had a hard time believing it might be a flex plate or loose torque converter but I jack it up anyways and re torqued the torque converter anyways and the knocking went away. Its worth double checking with a wrench not just your eyes or thinking it is tight. Good luck

Re: Frustrated, discouraged and don't know what to do
I would make sure you used the correct torque convertor bolts.

Re: Frustrated, discouraged and don't know what to do
Well I think we all know now a good place to have an engine built. Sounds like a very good upstanding place. I think you should post their website for a little free advertising for them.
Of course maybe you did it earlier ... I didnt read every post =)
