Thank you I think it was a great find as well. Now just test fitting rockers and fitting cab corners as well.

No cab mounts yet, still needs rockers and corners but couldn't help seeing what its going to look like. That and still debating on new coil springs or air bag system.

Picked up a sweet set of prothane body mounts from Travis at pro performance a board vender. Very excellent service and highly recommended by this user. Cab to box line sits pretty good for just setting them in place.

Ahhh!! Put the other wheels back on! I bet those body mounts will help your ride quality. But so will the rest of your parts when you're done. It's always nice to see progress.

I agree, it'll help the ride quality for sure. I'm very happy with the new parts and progress so far. Wheels are set aside while I take the body on and off for fitment and corners/rocker install coming up after the wood fence is built tomorrow at our place. They sure make it look better than the stockers though.

Thanks so much. I really am loving this build. Couldn't have asked for a better project. I want to fire the engine, but figure I better have the core support on, radiator in, and exhaust then figure out how to wire it to brake it in.

Not much progress lately. Been organizing the garage a lot which helps free up room to work on the truck. I need to get the box floor cleaned up and undercoated and lined. And work on the corners rockers and primer the cab and box. Thats my goal the next 2 months. Wish me luck.

I have been trying to upload photos for the last few days and get a message that says upload failed. Anyone have any ideas on a solution so I can keep posting photos? I just usually upload from my hard drive. I don't have online photo center.

I cut about a 1 1/2 inch out of the lower rails. And put in a 20 gallon 1969 f*rd mustang gas tank in. Fits very nice I think. I'm planning to support the tank with a steel frame and support the frame with a rear c-channel if its needed. Love the low profile look of the tank. It sits up high, and I like the bed fill.

Did some more work to the truck. I mounted the bed floor just to see how the gas tank will line up. Worked out perfect. Looks like whoever cut the hole in the bed before I owned it saved me some work. Time to get that floor sandblasted and undercoated/lined.

My son Bentley a (3) yr old and I have spent most of our labor day weekend working in the garage between the truck and organizing. We had a blast and got the suspension all dialed in. The "bent fame" was a coil spring issue after all. And I found out that that cross member is meant to be angled aft on the pass side that way. All is good!

mocked up my front end to start lining up the rockers.... that's what I tell myself at least. Its nice to see it look like a truck again, however have a long way to go with body work and sheet metal repair.

Recap on the 69 mustang 20 gallon tank. I picked it up off ebay and it was like 89 dollars complete shipped with pickup and sending unit lock ring ect. I trimmed 1 1/2" off the lower frame rail. Then I cut mocked it up and built some side brackets using 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle iron. I used some stock holes in frame that were a bit larger than the bolt hole I drilled for the support. I did this so I can tweek it right before I put in some bigger bolts. Also im in the process of mocking up a rear support for the frame since I "weakened" it a bit. I'm not sure what to do with a sending unit yet but at least it will hold gas.

Im so stoked!!!! I got the 400 sbc started. Fired right up ran half throttle for about 1 min and sounds very healthy. It was open pipes but man it sounded mean. True break in to follow after exhaust and tach. Just got a radiator and a couple hundred dollars worth of parts for it..... totally worth it. I plan to try for full exhaust this weekend as well. Pics and video to follow.

I have a stiff deadline of March 7th to get the truck drivable. My wife and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage that weekend and we both want to drive in the truck even if its "under construction" on the exterior. Sounds like I'm going to have my hands full on the mechanical and safety portion of the build. The good news is my wife's on board for late nights in the garage till then. May need your guys help along the way.

Traded a set of calipers, and a rear view mirror for a set of nice recovered seats that I plan to build into my interior. I plan on building a center council seat that somewhat resembles buddy buckets, or late model 40/20/40 seats.
