The sale wouldn't have to be by pm.
Just the 1st chance offer so the interested responders would be advised of the offering they might not see in a add-on to this post or a new post.
Thanks

Re: Mock up working-Gauging Interest WIPER DELAY!

Just an update:

I was driving around in the light rain in Jersey today. Nice to have up to 30, yes...30 seconds of delay as a result of my build efforts. I should have a couple units built over the weekend as all the parts have come in. I am going to offer them to the first people that showed interest initially. Look at the first page of this thread and you will get a sense of who that is. Keep checking back for updates over the weekend. Thanks again for the support and positive feedback!

Re: Mock up working-Gauging Interest WIPER DELAY!

I would like to place mine in the choke hole on the instrument bezel. Will the knob be interchangable with a stock knob ? Thanks,Calvin. P.S. Will it be light enough to be held in place with a star washer and nut like the wiper switch ?

Good question! And the answer is......not really. It (the box) would have a tough time fitting in the cluttered bezel/panel area. And even if it did fit (the box) the adjustment knob has a pretty short shaft. It would take a bit of doing but you could unsolder the adjustment pot and relocate it away from the box. I had envisioned doing this (providing that option) right out of the gate but put that plan on hold. As far as the weight is concerned, although the box is light I would not choose to hang the unit solely by the adjustment pot.

I think when you hit the stock switch it cancelled the delay? It was a long time ago. It was an under dash mount. I made a bracket to mount it behind the lip of the dash facing down,as Dieselwrencher suggested. You couldn't see it and it was simple enough to feel the knob and turn

Re: Mock up working-Gauging Interest WIPER DELAY!

I'm working my way through the "first responders" to the post PM ing them as I go with an offer to purchase, I have 10 to offer, sold three and gave the first one away FREE to nobolt. I will eventually drill down to the later posts. I can see me closing this post and creating another just "for sale" in the not too distant future. Hang in there, more to come-and thank you!
