Re: 7dos - Build Thread
When we were rebuilding this truck (I was 12-16) I wanted the truck red, with the interior being red and silver, so we ended up painting the column, gauge bezel, column levers, etc, all silver and changed the steering wheel out for a Grant wheel. Well, now I'm 28 and have matured some (not much probably if you ask my wife) so we are changing it up a little. We purchased an original steering wheel with center cap, a new black and chrome bezel, all of the chrome levers, new pedal pads and trim, etc and are going to do a color change to the column. I'll post pics of the interior as it is right now tonight, but by this weekend it should be looking pretty slick....

What size were your old wheels and tires? That's more my style. It's an awesome truck before and after.

15x7/15x8, rears were 275/60/15, can't remember the fronts. I actually still have them, can't decided if I want to sell them or what.

Re: 7dos - Build Thread
Great truck! My plans are similar to yours and I hope that when completed, my truck is a blue twin to yours!
I'm about to buy my air management system. Are you happy with one compressor and one 5 gallon tank? How quickly does it fill the tank? How many times can you go up & down before the compressor kicks back on? Thanks - Matt

Re: 7dos - Build Thread
great looking truck, thanks very much for sharing! I think the new steering wheel and dash will completely transform your interior - nice before, huge improvement to have a "new" stock look. Great job.

Re: 7dos - Build Thread
Hey Jason, did your Coys fit over your spindle right out of the box? Just wandering because mine didn't.

Re: 7dos - Build Thread
Hi,
I'm Eric and I recently purchased my first Chevrolet ( a 70 C10 ) and I'm digging the work that you've done to your truck. Would you happen to have pictures of the front air ride system and the other work that you've completed? Also, which air controller do you have? thanks in advance, Eric |
