Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

Today I cut two 4 inch holes and welded pipe in them for my exhaust before the bed goes on.

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

Also put my driveshaft in this morning. It appears to look like its going to work out OK. I went with a 1 piece, it was 56" center to center of the U-joints.

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

Got a few little goodies for my bed today. I think I'm going to order a set of Fesler tail lights, probably polished to break up some of the black on the rear of the truck. My buddy said he was going to start priming the bed next Saturday.

Hey Jason I just got my polished Fesler tail lights today, I posted the picture in my thread. They are really nice and will look great with the black paint.

I will check it out in a few, I'm going to go ahead and order a set, I think they will be just enough to break up the black paint on the back.

Well it started out as a 402, I had a "little" machine work done to punch it out to 427 cubic inches. The alum heads are from Trick Flow, roller rockers and cam were matched from them also (can't remember specs off the top of my head). It has an Eldelbrock Air Gap intake with a 750cfm Quick Fuel carb. High volume Melling oil pump, Eldelbrock fuel pump. I went with a Moroso extra capacity oil pan. Hedman 2" tube full length headers, Kieth Black pistons and H beam rods. The front runner is just a factory style from GM Performance. I can't wait for the first drive, I think the ole girl might be a handful.....

Very nice work on the exhaust tunnels. That sounds like a thumping big block setup you have there. Gonna be fast!
