Re: SB 2wd exhaust manifolds

I would like the plugs out please. I will take it then. No rush. When you are back from holidays let me know the total and ill settle with you. Do you have any good inner A.I.R. tubes? The ones that go inside the manifold and head? I need 4 if you have any. Rod.

Rod, I have the manifold on the work bench a waiting time to remove the plugs. I've been struggling with time to get them out. My work has me doing 13-14 hour days as this is a very busy time of year for me. I try to get to it this week. Thanks, Tom

Yes very busy. I do have the manifold. It will be a flat flange (non bevel for donut gasket).

Thanks, Tom

Re: SB 2wd exhaust manifolds

Rod, here's the pics. As the pic shows it does have what I call "heat checked" in the center. It also would need to be surfaced. I would do this one for 45.00 plus shipping. Send me your postal zip again and I'll get a shipping cost. Thanks, Tom

is there a difference on a 292 exhaust exit i.e. down or angled simular to the ram style?

Rod, I see these like this all the time. I don't think the heat check will promote a crack. Yes, these are prone to crack especially the RH side. Shipping is 45.00. Thanks, Tom

292's came with 2 bolt and 3 bolt header flanges. The angle of the dump was angled must like the V8 manifold pictured above.

Re: SB 2wd exhaust manifolds

As far as coatings go...Tech Line Coatings have really nice products.
Black satin & cermakrome are the 2 most popular. Be aware that
these SHOULD be oven cured before put into service. Jamie 71

Re: SB 2wd exhaust manifolds

thanks you for the help but I am going to pass on this manifold. It looks the same as mine and am going to with any luck find one with a little less of that heat check. If you do find another one let me know. Thanks for you time, I do appreciate it. Rod.

No problem, I fully understand. I have more still on trucks so when I get to them I'll keep you in mind. Thanks, Tom
