Sometimes you get lucky.....I was checking for Chevy trucks on kijiji Edmonton and an ad for a factory 77 Chevy Sport roll bar turns up.Owner bought the truck new and took the bar off to put a topper on.Had it in his garage ever since!A one year only COPO special part.He even sent me a picture of his truck from when he bought it.

only one of the original owners can answer

I ordered my 77' Sport and I didn't want roll bar, swing away spare or step bumper. I got frt and rear chrome bumpers, chrome grille, gauges with tach, no stereo, antenna in windshield, don't remember a choose on wheels, got the white spokes and HD alternator.

Re: Hey all you sport truck guys this one just popped up here in Phoenix

Yes very nice picture. Very Few dealers ordered Sports for the lot let alone two of them.

80Sport: I think you are correct about the picture being from CO. I took the following from the NCRS discussion board when someone was looking for the history of a perticular Corvette. Larry Here it is:

McMahan Chevrolet - Lafayette CO.

McMahan Chevrolet, Lafayette CO. Zone 10 Dealer 552.

Looking for info on this dealer. My car was delivered to the original owner there in late July 1963. I've contacted the Lafayette City Library and Chamber of Commerce. Patty at the city library is looking through what she might have.

Chamber of Commerce "thought" the dealership was bought out by Century Chevrolet in Broomsfield, but not sure if or when that might of occured.

Appreciate any help from Rocky Mountain Chapter members (or others)

thanks,
tc

No pic?

I'll have to look to see where the pic I posted was taken.
