thanks, and yes I have been calling it the Balzer for some time now, cool name I think

Here are some updates. Had a few hiccups with the rear end around the holidays. I ordered a 1950-60s style ‘round back’ 9” housing and they made me a regular late model one. Would’ve been fine I could have lived with it, then I realized they put the wrong length studs in the axle. So back it went to the shop, and then when it was ready again they put different studs in that are the wrong size, so my rotors don’t fit, and I need new lug nuts. All of which wouldn’t be a problem if I wasn’t in Afghanistan, and having my wife and buddies deal with this crap back home..
Long story short, just waiting on fabrication pics of the rear installed. Nice thing is in about 4-5 weeks I’ll be off this tour and back at my home. So ill have completed pics here before long.

No firewall mods needed. It fits like it’s supposed to be there. The 4l60 trans fit in the trans tunnel with no mods. The factory trans crossmember needed the mount cut off and welded back on the opposite side, it still bolts in all the factory holes on the frame. The driveshaft only needed a different ujoint to mount the 4l60 yoke to the factory length driveline length.
I do not have the stock ehasut manifold, I have a custom header. The factory manifold might need firewall movement very low on the passenger foot area. Might need is the key here.

About 32k mills on this build now. Time to break it all down, change the paint to a different color, all new stuff.
Should be fun

changed the color, wanted to add multiple colors, but Uncle Sam needed assistance over in Iraq.
So july20/june21 i have been gone.

now that ive been home for a few short weeks, i'm still getting used to being back here.

havent touched the blazer, other than got it off the lift, washed it, added fresh fuel, and drove it a few miles to bring it up to operating temp.
