that's great! what is the steering box you used exactly?
I have always swapped my older cars to the newer monte ss style boxes.
they work good but this is my first truck and not sure if they fit the turn radius.
I think those wheels fit that paint scheme and lowered it looks great.

Not sure the year but was listed as a quick ratio from I think a late 70's truck.

This thread is most excellent and may end up costing me money. Sorry if I missed it, but could you tell me the size of the old tires? I'm interested to know if I could pull this off with the 235/85/16 tires I already have.

They were 7.50 x 16 about 31" tall but they did tuck in the wheel wells without hitting.

beautiful, not too many can turn while aired out. dont forget to have it aligned at the bag pressure you'll be running while cruising!

Man truck came out awesome! I gotta say if it is at all ever feasible for you I would really love to see an outside full side shot or some some good overall coverage of the truck with the steel rims and caps on!

Not much snow around here at all this year. Only riding we had was a trip out west.

I gave away the original wheels. They were split rims with old bias ply tires on them. I didn't have any plans to ever run them.

If you dont mind me asking, about how much do you have in that suspension? I would love to do that to my C20, how does it handle compared to before?

Love the truck. The aftermarket wheel selection is not my cup of tea. I think they remind me of the jacked up 4x4's that you see everywhere. Stock rims would finish the truck off, but that's just my personal preference. Great work on the suspension and exhaust.

Good catch. I haven't decided on what mirrors to use yet. I might put the west coast camper mirrors back on it just to really make it odd. I would guess about 2500 into the suspension setup without any of the air management. I'm going to run it with just schrader valves this summer and finish the tank/compressor setup next winter. I havent driven it much still working on a few things but it seems to handle and ride great so far.

Thanks the very little I did drive it I was very impressed. I've got it parked and back in the garage now and I'm taking out the 4 speed and putting in a 700r4 along with several other upgrades. The old 4 speed with a granny gear and mechanical clutch was brutal to drive.

I feel your pain on the 4-speed. Once I get a garage, I'll just get a newer manual transmission, like a 6-speed. But, I'm also planning to pull the 250 out for an LS. Nice truck. I was really surprised with the before pics. Looks like the truck has lived in a garage its whole life.

I took a couple days and took out the motor and trans freshened up the motor and installed the 700R4. Still have alot to do but the heavy work is done.
