Re: Project Pumpkin
So now i've got the LS2 I traded the 6.0L from the Yukon for some Harness work and tuning to run the LS2. Was a fair trade cuz i hate wiring.

Re: Project Pumpkin
Now getting back to the cab situation i found a buddy with a 71 GMC. Has a 350/350, 12 bolt rear end, 2 front clips and all the sheet metal to fix the cab. It was in better shape then my cab plus the price was right. I work at Napa in town so i bought him some brakes for his trailer and he gave me the truck. Sweet!

Re: Project Pumpkin
Sold the 350/350 from the 71 for $300. Could have got more but hey money now is sometimes better than more money later, especially when you are hot rodding!

Re: Project Pumpkin
Well here she is! Cab sits funny on it because the cab corners are narrower than the frame. Looks not bad hey?

Re: Project Pumpkin
So now that i have a long box and 2 front clips I don't need I put an add up and wow did i find a deal. The guy who came to pick up the clips and box had 2 cabs.
1. 71 C10 Already blasted and primed, 50% body work done. 2. 67 Small window! Pretty rough but its a small window, so rare! Deal was that if i gave him the front clip, the long box and $400 he would give me the cabs. Talk about a deal! So here we are. |

Re: Project Pumpkin
Time to start sheet metal on the 71 C10 because its already been blasted and had some body work started. Didn't need much, couple floor patches, inner and outer rockers, cab support and cab mounts. The usual!

Re: Project Pumpkin
Once that was all burned in it was time to undercoat the bottom, the floor, and primer seal the whole cab.

Here you can see the wider cab corners to accept the frame.
