Hey hogfarm, I'm retired 6 years this past January 1st and it still seems hard to find time to finish a project. From what I remember, work seemed to have gotten in the way!!

I know about the cold,it has not been above freezing for 2 months,and the 4' of snow on my property is a giant block of ice.But i go to the shop and turn on the heat,try to get some work done every day.Today I'm going to work on the tail gate latch for the 58,I got an old smashed Ford tail gate and remove all the latch guts.My 58 tail gate is in bad shape but I think I can put a center latch in it,to remove the chains

Well after shoulder surgery and therapy I've still had issues with my shoulder. although it still is a bit painful, I've moved into the "finishing" stage of my front valance. A great friend and I, finally got around to working on the front end and i got the primer on it today. Now, we need nice hot sunshine so I can finish painting, so here it is. Thanks to all for your ideas, comments and pictures that have helped me out.

nice, smooth and custom looking. hope the paint comes soon and your shoulder heals up so the pain ends and life can get back to normal.
it is -23C here in calgary today. that is about -9 for the south of the boder guys. not proming anything here today either. not that I have anything ready to prime.

my56, I just came home from physio on my shoulder. having a coffee then heading off to the gym for more workout time and rehab. apparently it is coming along well but it sure seems to take forever. I am currently in rubberband rehab.
take it easy but steady, your shoulder will heal soon enough. thats what the physio keeps telling me. i thought i would share that, it is like mental therapy for me. haha.

My doctor says, hey, you're 67 years young, and nerves take a long time to heal. man, he sure was right.

Here's the final product. I Had to wait out our weather so I could have a good weather day here in NW Indiana as well as the healing of my left shoulder. I'm not a real good painter, but I think it turned out good.
