Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

My motor sets to high in the front. I have the CPP motor stands with dirty dingo sliders. I'm at 6 degrees with a degree finder on the top of the intake. What s up? Are any one else haveing the same trouble? I used the original trans cross member.

Re: GM connect and cruise engine package

Still have not found the fix to the exstream angle of motor. I can put a3/4 spacer under trans crossmember and get it to 5* but trans touches front of trans tunnel at pinch weld.

Can the motor come forward then on its mounts so the back of the trans can come up more?

I wouldn't measure the angle on the top of the motor. You need the angle at the trans tail shaft. Then you match that angle at the rear end pinion. 3 degrees down and 3 degrees up is good. Often you have to tweek it after all the weight is on the wheels. You can do that on the trans crossmember or angled shims on the spring perches. If you draw an imaginary line back from the trans output shaft, and another line forward from the rear pinion, the two lines should be parallel. Google image driveline angles and get some good explanation.
