My son in law was towing his appliance moving trailer. I know, you guys thought it was a horse trailer.

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
[QUOTE=Already Gone;8396635]I did a few things to my truck this year. The big one was removing the plaid bench seat then installing ( not quite finished yet ) my buckets/console. Next the tilt I bought 18 months ago was installed and I picked up this totally rebuit 700R4 which plan to get installed this coming spring. There is a big local Car show here every June and the first door prize is a completely rebuilt with upgrades Chevy small block and the second was this 700R4 redone by a local reputable shop. The winner of the 700R4 didnt need it so he put it on Facebook for sale and i bought it. I have factory 373's in my truck so the 700R4Attachment 1843836
Attachment 1843837 Attachment 1843838 Attachment 1843839 The buckets look great. The 700R will be a nice addition.

Careful. I suppose they are out there, but not like they once were, and have you seen the prices?

Jim, that white truck has been getting hand me down tires/wheels since I bought it in '01. This is it's first set of it's own... finally!

I get a lot of eyerolls. No physical events yet. I have a shower at the shop just in case.

I started to go through and compliment everybody on their truck individually, but I've not seen anything I didn't like yet. Nice bunch of trucks guys.

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
I get up early, so it gave me a chance to explore the area and look for a place to get breakfast. This is by the Susquehanna River in Highspire. Next town down is Middletown and that's where Swatara Creek runs into the river. There was an old canal built along there (Union Canal) and this is an old warehouse along side of it
I wouldn't mind living there... cozy. Room for me and some trucks. I went up from the river one morning to the big shiny diner on the hill by all the hustle bustle

Tim, I've seen the "k-ghost" in so many natural settings it looks out of place in front of all that bling.

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
Funny you say that. I feel very out of place in the city or it's sprawl (no matter what I'm in).
They wiped out all the roadside diners, called them greasy spoons. McDonalds and Bob Evans and all their national institute buddies take over. But one very successful diner in a prime location thrives west of Baltimore... Double T Diner. Always busy, open all night. Then comes the '50s nostalgia in the '90s and there are now shiny stainless & neon upscale diners all over with huge selections. I'm still a workin' man in his old truck lookin' for a bite to eat and some good coffee. Eggs is eggs, sausage is sausage, toast is toast, and that coffee better be GOOD!! How about I come to trim the house. First day we can dig the footers

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
Use an old aluminum fishing rod. Might work.
I ventured farther down river one morning and explored some countryside. I see these eerie smoke plumes and it strikes me.... "THREE MILE ISLAND!!!!" I don't know, but ever since there was that scary issue that word means disaster area in my mind. So I almost blindly stumbled right into the monster (across the river ). There was just something ominous and surreal about this scenery. A clash of early rural life and modern infrastructure

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
It doesn't work, just for looks. I put in blue tooth and used the rod to fill the hole. I'm a fisherman and noticed the rods in your window. I have a 1958 Shakespeare rod and real, square fiberglass rod. I kept the old antenna base, cut the but off the rod and tightened it where the real goes on. I also used Mepps lures for pull tabs on my stereo speaker box.

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
El Dorado Jim - thankyou.. the steps i believe are Carr brand off ebay used. Aluminium. I fabbed some xtra bracing, didn't care for the stress on the rocker..
Metaldoc - love it ! Old metal rod might pull some signal. The baitcaster is an old phleuger that was my grandpas. Reminds me of some really good times. Simple times.. Tim you talking breakfast makes me crave some hole in the wall mom n pop place off the popular path.. Favorite pastime seeking out just that. Still love your truck btw..

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
Correction: I have needed a shop like that... for a long long time! I have rented shops but one right outside would be heaven on earth for me. This place has me in a rut, I need more 'area'. The only good spot I have is under a damn power line right of way that dissects my property to my neighbors back behind me. No following property lines back in the day I guess. I'm so fed up now that I'm going ahead and building at least a carport, or two, and calling them temporary, all bolted, screwed, and minimal structure. I hope the county (or at least my neighbors) agree. I figure people get away with those metal ones which I suppose is because they are considered not permanent.

Re: Pic Thread: Me & My Truck(s) 2018
On the 4th of July (ahhh... so warm) I went up the hiway to the Barbara Fritchey Classic, the longest running continuous motorcycle race in America run at the Frederick Fairgrounds. Got on I-70w right along a pack of out of town riders from a "club" on their way there... I figured
Someone else did too I guess Met my son and his gal there, backed up to the fence. At the races now!
