Re: 327 pictures
I thought all 67 that had the power steering, was the assisted power steering not a box. Like in the pictures. A good thread on rebuilding one also. I have this whole setup out of my 64 SS Impala. I need to get it rebuilt some day.

Re: 327 pictures
hi,i have seen that older style power steering with the hydraulic cylinder on 62-63-64 full size cars but never on a 67?i had a big block 66 impala wagon before my 67 and it had a power steering box and pump mounted on the engine just like my 67.

Re: 327 pictures
i hear ya,it looks strange but the carb is #7027202 as far as i remember.this carb was there on the car when i bought the car and i'm sure i looked up the number and it was correct.i can't imagine the original owner changed it but anything is possible.he drove it from April 67 til about 1990,bought another car and the wagon sat til 1999 when i bought it,worked on it for 3 days with my dad's help.we put a $10.00 junkyard battery in it,i had already rebuilt the carb and a 100 other things, fired it up and drove it home, ran like a wrist watch.
all the best.Greg |

I'm not 100% sure but I know my factory 67 that I owned had this system on it and I had all the paper work with it. I bought from the original owner. I don't remember the 67 having the frame dimpled for the factory power steering box like the other years. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=640298

Re: 327 pictures
i'm sure you're correct on 67-68 trucks with the power steering cylinder.i said my 72 truck was a big block and stuck in Utah til covid calms down but i have a 67 impala wagon with the original 327 in it.there was a request for 327 pictures so i offered to take pictures of mine,IF it was of any help.someone said, send them so i did, then someone said they thought the 67 full size cars should have that power steering cylinder?that's not the case, they had a power steering box.my fault for throwing pictures of a car 327 into the mix.

Re: 327 pictures
Yes, and thank you it was I who requested pic's of your 67 wagon and it help me out by identifying parts, it seems to me that when I look for 327 67 motor attachments for a truck they are more for the 67 cars not exactly for trucks.
Funny thing when I first saw this post I said to myself yeah seeing pictures of 67 trucks with 327, that's what I'm doing this will help. Didn't realize my 16 year old son started this post. His helping all he can to get my truck going so we can start on his 67 truck. The more the pic's the better, thanks all and thank you son. NGN NICK |
