Re: Tractor thread?
Love my grapple on the B2650, although I think I'm going to sell it for a different style.

Grandpa's Farmall Cub. We believe it's a 1948 or 1949, but can't be sure. I remember driving it planting Grandma's garden in the mid 90's. Hasn't run in a long time now, though.

Great little Tractor We done some work on it together. The Clutch is about as big as a small serving dish. It was broken as a New couple after a Honeymoon, The crack was between the lower radiator and the steering gear housing. We grooved out the crack and drilled holes at the end of the crack. It actually turned out to be a Nice Job. We drilled a hole and put a Grease fitting to lube the Steering box.

Re: Tractor thread?
Both tractors were so common growing up and I see them all over still today, in use as well as show quality.
That really is one fine job done on that Cub. There is a clean one for sale a couple doors down from the house I'm working on now. I've been meaning to go take a look. The guy who's house I'm working on I noticed has a N-series tucked up under his barn. I'll keep my eye on that. wouldn't mind having one. Kirk, you also did a fantastic restoration. I had a thing for the early lawn tractors and had two JD 110 early models, round fenders and seat. I also had an 80 trailer. When a neighbor claimed the meadow next to my place, which meant I stopped mowing it, I decided to let my 110s go. Not enough space to store them. I'll find other old ones when I move

Re: Tractor thread?
Dad and I went back up to our farm today and I got some pictures of the John Deere. We had put new tires on it and then discovered that the engine was stuck. Oops. The clutch was also stuck, so last fall we poured some atf in the cylinders and hosed them down with PB blaster as well. We also hosed down the clutch forks and such with PB. Didn’t try to break the engine free today, but we did stand on the clutch and it’s moving now, so that’s good. Next time we get up there, we’ll try to break the engine free again

Re: Tractor thread?
Nice Tractor
Just a Suggestion 50/50 mix of Acetone/ATf is the best for cleaning stuck cylinders.

Re: Tractor thread?
They are nice, but man they seem like one of the more expensive 3pt attachments. I was looking for one for behind my B2650 and then about fell our looking at prices, even used. Depending how often you might want to use it renting one might make a little more sense. By me sunbelt rents a 60" 3pt for $115 a day, $345 a week, or $840 a month. I got lucky and a co-worker was clearing out property at his family's place and found their old Kubota tiller. Cleaned it up, converted it to work with the quick hitch and a new driveshaft and she does what I need to do.

Re: Tractor thread?
Depending what all is around you sometimes the tractor dealers or repair places offer rentals but don't advertise it real well. I know by me the Co-Op offers some and even local farmers or owners of the equipment will post on FB marketplace or Craigslist that they will rent their attachments out. Just asking around will usually find you someone.

Re: Tractor thread?
Lol, you can’t throw a rock here without hitting deer. I spooked a fawn brush hogging the other day.
As an aside, my wife almost adopted this baby raccoon this week.

Re: Tractor thread?
Yeah, I want to go to the show.
I drove by after work Thursday and Friday. You could tell that it was going to be crowded. There were lots of Green tractors on trailers. Several tricycle tractors loaded Nose to Nose.
