Re: Show us your projects
As she sits right now, and yesterday's work on the tailgate... Just need both rear stake pockets and the front wall to put the bed back together, then all four drums and new front bearings to get 'er rollin'...

Re: Show us your projects
Nice! Start up a build thread on that thing. I have a pro street thing going on as well. Do you plan on caging it? What are you doing for seat belts?

Re: Show us your projects
Thanks! I just run a stock bench seat with lap belts. No plan for roll cage at this time. I have alot more tire than I have motor and dont race it. I run a small journal 327 motor, 350 turbo, and 9 inch with 4:11 detroit locker. Im new to the site and will start a build thread soon.
I checked out your build thread, you do some great work. The door gap info will come in handy as im working on the body. I plan to weld the body seam too, I never thought to do that. Are you running the QA coils on the front, if so what pound springs did you use ? I plan to install a set. Thx |

Re: Show us your projects
Hey thanks! Yes, I am using the qa1 "pro street" conversion coil overs. They were probably one of the best buys for the pickup as of yet. I have 550s in it now, but that was with the iron head 406. It rode amazing. Honestly handled better and rode about the same as my 01 lincoln town car. I'm thinking with all the changes and the aluminum headed LS, I might have to change to 450s. But I will wait till I get it running around.

Re: Show us your projects
I have thought about the QA's for while, nice to see someone with a similar setup with them. The stance of your truck is what Iam looking for.
Again Thanks ! |
