Few more pics but yep it is raining so no out side sun shots for now. It is up and running again so the first chance of sun shine I will pullit out and get a few shots. This week I will work on the new vent windows, door glass, weather stripping and color sanding the roof then if all goes well I will drop it off at the glass shop friday for teh front and back glass with the stainless trim.

If this is the tow rig, then what are you going to use to tow it to the glass shop?

And what do you have planned for the holes in the bumper?

Here baby hauler is an 07 TrailBlazer SS 395hp LS2 V8 so it should do the job

I had a new bumper that came with the truck that was suposed to be a 70 bumper all rechromed but when I pulled it out it turned out to be for some other year. It does not have the light holes but has some funky turned in portions in the top edge about were the head lights are? I will get a pic so I can find out what it is. So I put my old bumper back on and I will ether get a new 67-70 or find some driving lights for this one!

You nailed it! Thats the one, I was really hoping it was the right one because it is an original bumper that was tripple chrome plated and looks great. Any GMC guys need a front bumper?

Kevin that truck is looking better everyday. Im sitting here dealing with sub 20 degree weather and dont even want to go to the garage to get the firewood to keep warm let alone be working on my ride right now,but you keep out there almost every day/nite it seems. I wished I had Cali weather.

I'm with ya there! Saturday's high here was 9 above zero. I do have heat in the shop, but I've got to freeze for quite some time before it gets up to temp in there. Summer will be along soon.

We get into the 20's but that is about as cold as it gets here. I will wake up about 4am go to the shop and turn on a few heaters then go back to be untill 6am or so before heading out to work. That helps alot and if I have the paint booth set up then two heaters will get that up to about 75* in under two hours and that is really nice but when you shut the heaters off to paitn it drops real fast!

Thanks guys! I will be keeping the Low Buk plates Since what I have into it out of pocket is still not to bad for the end results. Also this was more of a show how it can be done thread not a Do it just like I did thread

I think be folowing the steps I have gone thru it can be built for around 4-8K for a good sound truck ready for daily driving.
As far as the bumper goes I don't have time to be shipping so it would need to be a pick it up kind of deal.

i just got to say rok you are very talented and have inspired me to do some metal/body work on my own ride that i was always nervous about doing.
but i cut out some rust spots and replaced them with some metal that i had to bend and shape myself, i took my time and it turned excellent.
i just want to say thanks for the step by step pics and the inspiration.
