Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

i've heared about someone else that tacked normal gas weldingrod to the end of the doors with a migwelder and then shave them to size the gap could use realy thin roundbar too same thickness as the folded part of the doorskin
seems to me its a bit eazier for someone not too experianced with gaswelding using bronze

love the wheels, are you narrowing it because the wheels won't fit when the bed is on?

Wheels can do with a thread of their own.

These really are very special.

I love them.

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

A few weekend updates !

Finished welding up the seams in the front of the LMC Truck fenders, after I get the front end all mocked up I will go back with 1/8 rod and make the body line

I hate how you can see the cab indentations between the back of the cab and the front of the bed so we capped the top 4 inches to hide it.

Got the doors all adjusted and started the gapping process

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Made some more progress on the Flex-a-lite radiator cover , I wanted radius bends on it......that was a pain ! I took a 1 inch solid steel bar and beat the radius into it .

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

i been looking intoo carbon fiber
thinking about making the grille and the bumpers out of the stuff and clearcoat it
might make the side trim out of the stuff too
have a 78 pickup and want the grille to look more like one out of a 57 chevy truck but fitted in the regtangulair shape the original 78 grille is in , still thinking if i keep the headlight surounds or make round ones

Do you have an up close pic of how you capped the indentions on the backside of the cab? Wondering what kind of radius you put in it to make it a smooth transition? Get what I'm saying?
