Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thanks guys. I painted the door panels but I'm not real sure I'm going to leave well enough alone. I think I'm going to see if I can wrap them in the same material that my seats are going to be when I decide on that.

I also painted the inside of my bucket brackets. I'll do the outsides later.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Yeah, their ok imo. I got a couple drips on the drivers side. And theres a small dent that I didn't see so it may get a redo. But I'm leaning more to covering them w/vinyl or something.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thanks. I haven't done anything since then on it. Still trying to find some good wiring harnesses. But thats hard when everything is as old as it is. May look into a new harness.

On the 60-66 side there is a lot of good feed back on autowire harnesses.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

My under dash and tail light harnesses are good. The only one I need is the under hood harnesses. Its for a gmc so 4 headlight plugs, w/gauges and no a/c.

It may cost you a little more but in the end you will be glad that you covered the door panels same as the seats

Oh, yeah. I forgot about GMC. I think the one I have is for inside the cab. Oh well, I'll keep an eye out.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I did a little investigating on my wiring for the engine bay and found that I need an inline fuse (4 amp) for the pass. side. I also need to stretch out my starter wiring to see if its long enough. Someone cut the ends off of it.

I unwrapped the whole harness and it looks real good. No burns at all. I taped it all back up except for the starter harness which includes the temp, brake, coil wire. Its going slow but its going. I think I'm coming down with something. Cold or something. I'm pooped and this is all Ive done.
