Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Well the battle is over! We went to Des Moines Goodguys with high and great expectations and well I couldn't hit my ass with a ping pong paddle, hats off to Mr. Rob and Hell boy beat us good..but wait I borrowed a Go Pro camera and found a big problem after some fast tab work off to Columbus unloaded shook Mr. Rob's hand and went to work qualified 1 for shoot out and beat Brian Finch in his 71 Camaro representing BFGoodrich tires for the win! Then with our No Limit Engineering truck armed front cross membered C-10 we ran the fastest single lap of the weekend 33.212. (thats every thing that ran cars trucks) My son Jason ran a fast lap of 33.7 taking 1st and 2nd in truck class. We are even, I propose we go to LS fest and really make all those high brow deep pocket car owners have a bad weekend! What do you think? By the way I have a picture of you just as excited as me when we won, just sayin.......Thanks Rob for your support.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Yes, it's true. We mended the fences. Had a great weekend, or two. Yes, we went 1 and 1. We ran great in Des Moines, 2nd overall and fastest truck, Trent and the boys had their hands full with the truck trying to sort it out. Down in Jasper at RideTech, I completely pulled my brakes apart to see if I could make it stop, an all day project. That afternoon, Brad and Jason were at the shop making gussets to stiffen up their pan hard rod, it was flexing like crazy. Columbus was hot, and, I'm sure I could pull out some excuse, but I won't. Trent, Coomer, and Jason had it goin' on. I gave it all I had to run a 36.632, not fast enough to beat Brad. In the Shootout, I ran the Roadster Shop truck in the first round, my 37.526 to their 38.871. Brian Finch in his 70 Camaro put me out in the second round when I out drove the far end of the track. Glad to see Coomer shut him down in the final. This was a great weekend for trucks. 3 of the top 10 laps were in trucks. The fastest lap was a truck, and the Shootout winner was a truck. I felt like a proud dad watching the kids graduate. He'll yes, on to LS Fest to punish more sheep!!!

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
OK, back in the shop. So, here's a recap of our adventures.
I started out tuesday the 26th, early in the am, with three days to get to Des Moines. I've never really been through the panhandle region, so I planned my route to pass that way. Day 1 Santa Rosa NM. Day 2 north/west Misouri. So, the panhandle looks like it's being taken over by big food producers, and everything else is in decay. I could be wrong, but thats what it looks like where I was. In Des Moines I learned about weather apps for the I-phone - not needed here, but usefull. Thursday night I ran out after hearing a radio promo to see the "Mother Trucker" band at a local bar. No kidding. How could I pass that up! Des Moines is always a big and fast track. For a moment I had the overall lead (about 45 min.) then Brit Marloff in the RideTech Camaro ran a dream lap and pulled ahead by 3/10's - I never caught him. 2nd overall is a good finish. The showdown between Hellboy and the Saturday Night Special, now dubbed "Snoopy", had some drama. Trent and the boys missed friday, and couldn't make up the track knowledge we all had in a day. They also had some track bar issues. In the end, they conceeded and vowed to come back in Columbus. I struggled with fadding brakes all weekend. If you were there, and saw me jockying the truck back and forth before each ran, I was trying to warm up the brakes so they would stop. It was pretty inconsistant. Monday I drove the long way (hwy 50) to Jasper and RideTech. Nice guys there and always willing to put up a traveler. Tuesday I used there shop to fix the brake problem, I think. Wilwood says that I didn't bed them in properly. So I pulled them apart, sanded all the surfaces and re-assembled it, and went out and really bedded thm in. No better. So, I started bleading and adjusting and finnaly got them to start working. I really don't know what it was. As I was working on that problem, the shop was buzzin getting ready for Columbus. Brad Coomer and Jason Brady stopped by to get some gusstes made for thier track bar, and to pick up some take off tires from Brett. (thats budget racing) Off to Columbus. I got in wed, and Tina (my wife) flew in wed afternoon. Our friends from Va. showed up late wed night. They had no power for a week and then said screw it, lets go. Friday morning the pits were filling up and it was already hot. As we ran in the morning it was becoming obvious tha Trent and the boys were on to something. I made a gear change at lunch while the Street Machine cars were running. From 3.55 to 3.31 to calm the tire down. After lunch we kept gaining ground, and Coomer and Snoopy had the line down and were pulling ahead. Saturday morning was the Sponsor Shootout. I stumbled on the starting line and ran a 34.087 Qualifying lap. Not good. That was probably my best lap of the weekend, not counting the time I lost on the line. In round one I ran the Roadster Shop C-10 and edged them out. Round two put me up against Brian Finch's 70 Camaro. I went in to hot on the far end and that was it, lost the round by .256 sec. Coomer and Snoopy had run the fastest lap to qualify 1rst, and that gave them a bye run in round three. The final was Coomer vs. Finch. Coomer ran a flawless lap for the win. I was so ecxited I ran out on the track to congradulate him. (got a talking to about that) It was great to have a truck win the shootout. I never did catch Coomer, he was on fire all weekend. And so we are 1 and 1 in our battle. I still feel like I won, as Snoopy is outfitted with No Limit suspension front and rear. And in the bigger picture, Trucks kicked ass! And, EVERYBODY was talking about TRUCKS!!!! Here's the recap. Trucks ran the FASTEST LAP, Won the Sponsor Shootout, We had 3 trucks in the top 10 overall, 4 in the top 12. There were 9 trucks in the 71 entries. The SLOWEST truck was 36th overall, yes, faster than 35 cars! Hats off to all the guys who ran there trucks. Great job. Yes, it was HOTTT!, but what a great weekend.
