Here's an unusual T-series car carrier

I remember those! It's actually a WW9500, did use a T series cab but it was raised up to clear a Detroit 6V-71 (look at the fenders). They were a special order model for car haulers, this one belonged to Pacific Motor Transport, part of the Southern Pacific Railroad. Ryder had them too. The W series was dropped in 1974, but I have heard these special versions continued for a few more years, some with 8V-71's.

What kind of Trans would they run?

Book says Fuller RT910 10 speed, probably could get an Allison too. The basic truck was a long wheelbase twin screw tractor.

My first C-60 was a 5+2 with a goofy top 4 gears. 4L-5L to 4H-5H pattern.

I had one of them in my '62 GMC 6500. What I liked about them is that you only had to shift the Rear twice when Split-Shifting through all the gears from 1st Low to 5th High (skipping 1st High).

But 1st to 2nd was a long, long ways from each other, lol.

Believe they were a Clark Trans.

We had a '80 GMC 6500 dump at work, and it shifted the same way. It had a Clark 285 5 speed (I remember pulling it out a few times due to idiot drivers!).
