Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Man those look good on there! But you never answered an important question! What year is your rearend, the shorter or the longer one? Also, can we get a pic to see how the wheels tuck in the back? Like maybe a picture from the rear, and corner of the rear looking at the wheels? Are these still pics you used from your phone?? If so, what kind of phone is it?!!

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I'm glad I'm not the only one getting the run around. this weekend is my deadline on waiting as well. as of Sunday it will have been 3 months since I purchased and was told they had been shipped but got returned, and that he would try shipping them again. well that was over a month ago and I keep getting the same story. now I get no response at all, so come Monday and they aren't here I'm calling my credit card co and getting my money back.

These guys sell at my local car swap meet (Vets stadium Long Beach) American Made $80.00 for Rear including the nuts for his adapters. I didn't see them on his web site but Raul took care of me. In fact just got off the phone with him to order his custom 5 on 5 by 5/16 thick spacers. as of now I have the universal style but the ones he has made for him are made just for 1 bolt pattern and center in really nice . |

The problem I have with this group buy or Eagle is that you ordered your wheels on a Thursday at the end of May and received the rears the next day (THE NEXT DAY ARE YOU KIDDING ME)and the fronts a few weeks later while people in the group buy have been waiting 2-3 months for the same wheels that are not in the warehouse??? Where are the grey fronts that hit the warehouse last friday? I'm asking for a actual update on these wheels. I would like to know the exact status on the grey 20" fronts and rears. I would like to know where I am in line to receive my wheels.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
You guys might try contacting Colin (Sublvr72) directly. Here's some of his contact info (from Skype and from his website; I'm not publishing anything that's not readily available to the public):
Colin Gorman Phone: (347) 725-0051 Skype: bigdaddyfatsac His Skype profile has a couple other phone numbers as well, but I'll leave it to you to track those down if needed, in order to provide a bit of artificial privacy at least. I, too, am waiting for two of my wheels but I understand the chrome 20x8.5's are in production and I can be patient a while longer. I'm at a bit of a disadvantage in that I paid with a cashier's check rather than a credit card, so my options are limited compared with just disputing the charge on my credit card. I don't doubt I'll get the wheels eventually -- just saying that for you guys who are also frustrated with the wait but paid with plastic, it could be worse.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I,m in the same boat as well. I ordered and payed for chrome 20's over 3 months ago. I was told that they were waiting for the fronts to be made so that they could ship all four rims to Canada at once. Starting to get a little worried.

They show to have shipped out last week man. If you don't have them by the first of next week get back with me and I'll find something out. Well the first of the week was this week....I PM'd him yesterday and called. No answer and no retuned PM. I know he was online to veiw the PM after I sent it because I checked his personal status and it showed his last activity to be at 7pm my time. I sent him the PM at 11am my time earlier that day.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I am! I hate being lied too. Whether he is getting the wrong information from Eagle, or he's giving the wrong information to us, either way someone is not telling the truth and it's getting old. You can't tell me it takes almost 3 weeks to ship a set of wheels from Cali to Tx when I just ordered tires from there and they arrived 6 days later with 2 of the days being the weekend.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I wished I would of paid more attention to this thread earlier and I could of saved you all a bunch of headache!!!! When I first looked at this I thought brossow was doing the group buy then I got to reading it and seen it was Sublvr72. Will I can tell you a story about him, me and the wheels on the Suburban in his avatar. My son owns those wheels(JUNK) I bought them from Sublvr72 a couple of years ago got 800 excuses why it took 4-months to get when they did show up one of them was bent keep in mind I bought them with tires on them. He said must of got done in shipping (GrayHound Bus) Yea Right! anyway paid to have rim straightened put new tires on all 4 of them supposly they had half tread what a joke!!!! Anyway one of the rims is still bad it loosens lug nuts and flys off the truck (WHICH SCREWED UP A BEDSIDE ON A FRESH PAINTED TRUCK) Anyway he SCREWED me and he knows he did. I would not ever buy nothing else from him I personally think he should be banned from the board or at least have to pay vendor fees to even have a Group Buy!!!!! I do want to say that the board was never aware of this transaction. I handled everything myself and never made them aware of this it was before we had a Bad Deals or Review section.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
i think this is getting blown out o proportion.....
Tim im not saying your wrong, but obviously you had a bad experience but that is in the past. sure it is still taking forever but it was (somewhat) explained that it will take a while to get them. TxSqueeze i think you might be getting the wrong idea. I believe they may actually be on the way. (think i saw something about 2 weeks to ship) But he does seem to be flaky with contact. I'm not pointing fingers just yet.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Guys call Scott at American eagle Corona ca.
on Monday to see where the Grey ones stand I was told there were only 9 sets of Grey 20 x 8.5 on paper as of last Wednesday but that was not verified (might be more?) as far as SUBLVR72 NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED He seemed to go out of his way to members a great deal and this also must suck for him I don't think he is sitting on your rims he just doesn't have them and big outfits like American Tire might have more pull for just 1 pair of 8.5 I would give it another week at least as you can see by the previous picture of the box that I got they are dated 6/8/10 and took a couple weeks from that date to get to me. as far as chrome ones go my understanding is the black wheels come in first the Grey ones have a take little more work to get them gray followed by Chrome which take the most process... best of luck to both sides Last edited by JOHNORO; 06-26-2010 at 01:46 PM. |

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I'm going to jump in and say that I had a problem with one of my wheels being the wrong bolt pattern when I got them and sublvr was very helpful to get this resolved. It took about two weeks but it was resolved. I think Eagle is more to blame for this mess than him. They seem to have mixed stories and shady distr. centers. I talked to one of the distr. guys somewhere and he bad mouthed one of the other centers in a different state. Not great business. It was also stated from the beginning it may take a while to get wheels. Not trying to argue with anyone. Just giving you my interactions. I can't blame anyone for being tired of waiting months. I would have been too.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Spoke with a guy named Vargas at American Eagle about 5 minutes ago. Was told my wheels were lost in shipment and had to be refunded and then charged again. Said everything was shipped out 2 days ago, and I should be seeing them within the next 3-4 days. He kinda seemed fishy and arrogant. If ya'll need to call on your orders here is the number, ask for Vargas 800-242-4364

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Alright guys. Got my tracking numbers. 8.5's will be here tomorrow, the 10's two days after that. SOOOO, Sublvr72, this is my apology!! Had you replied to my PM earlier last week, I wouldn't had been so pissed off! Everything was going smooth with the transaction up until that point, and the trust was still there until other members were posting that they had gotten the same stories as well. Again, I apologize, but when communication is lost, minds start wondering!
Guys, call Vargas at the number I posted. He IS NOT arrogant what so ever (must have been busy when I spoke with him the first time). He's actually pretty cool, and he knows we are all running out of patience. Brossow- to answer your question directly, it was neither Sublvr72 or AEW at fault, rather the shipping company.
