Rims look good. Is that a split grip? I've been looking at one for my ride. Does it get hot on the finger slots?

Are you taking about the steering wheel? If so i just put it on about a week ago. And it hasnt gotting really hot yet, so i havn't seen if the aluminum gets hot. But it feels a lot better then the stock steering wheel. This is what the inside looked like when i git it.

Yeah, the steering wheel. Sorry about that. I should have been more specific. Im just looking at them right now. Not ready to buy one yet, so let me know if any thing pops up that you dont like about it.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

I got the truck out for a little sunshine last weekend. It's sporting an homage to my German heritage up front today. I also put on my new club logo. It's a familiar logo to the truck. A few former members and some new ones are reviving the old logo...with a little twist.

You never realize how dull a set of wheels can get even when they're not being used, but a quick shot of elbow grease did the trick.

Thanks. It's not without its flaws, though. It could use a little freshening. It has a few nicks, chips and imperfections I'd like to have taken care of. I mean, the front clip is almost 13 years old now and the rest of the paint/body work is pushing 15.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Hello been looking for another square body CC and then ran into this online. Flew down to Nashville Monday evening and purchased this.

Since then have replaced the idle and pitman arm and tinted it out. New pics soon.

This is a 1998 CC 4x4 Z71. It is a Centurion conversion truck that started out as a RCSB. Super clean inside for the miles. Thinking of doing some sort of front brake upgrade to get some more stopping power.

Thanks. I agree, I didn't like them in the 90's but they look tailor made for this truck. Plus I got them cheap and sold my others for the same price so they were free lol... Yes keeping it period correct. My 2007 has 20" factory wheels so I'm ok with some 15's on my old beater.

My new gem. 88 Silverado 116k original miles, 305/auto, 2wd, swb, 1 owner, garage kept. Owned by some old man that took very good care of the truck. Traded my 91 Suburban for $800 at the local Toyota dealership and walked out with this for 4.5k out the door.

Sweet! How do you only put around 4,500 miles a year on a pickup? Haha That's about the same ratio as my 90 with 110k. Nice truck!
