Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
Strange thing, when you get up at 3am and are in the shop by 4am you can get alot done by 7:30pm Today I color sanded the roof, bed and tail gate then polished them all as well. Since I was the only one around when it came time to put the bed on I puled out my "One Man Cab & Bed Lift" and just did it my self!! Would have been nice to have an extra hand just for guildence with teh new paint and all but oh well. I just taped some heavy tag board to the back of the cab and went for it. I think it took about 10min total from on the dolly to being bolted in, not bad for one guy on little sleep. Then I hooked up the fuel filler tube, bumper, tailgate and rear trim. I might get a chance on Sunday to put the side trim and markers on but we will see. Another 8hr day spent in the shop!
So here are a few pics for now. My driveway was too full to get the truck out and to the glass shop so I figured I would try and get it all together instead, almost made it too! Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
Beautiful as always! I really, really like the handle flip with the welded up handle hole. So subtle that most people will never notice,... but SUPER COOL to the people that do. When I see a truck like that,... I immediately start looking for other cool mods.

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
When posting pics, if you use a storage website like photobucket, then you post links from that site. Then you can post up to 10 pics at a time and they are larger pics also.

It would have been great for all the how-to write ups I have done since you can put text with each pic! But then again my post count would only be hafl as big as well... Kevin LFD Inc. Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
Thanks I just figured it out but you might want to get those chevys off this ford site before the natives wake and see what you did! Ok I am starting to get this but from now on I need to save the file as a different type so it is larger then what I have been doing. Looks like with the photbucket way you can post larger files then you can with the regular board way, right? Last edited by Rokcrln; 02-12-2008 at 12:28 AM. |

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
I am really digging the 68 side trim. Sorta new so I didn't realize there was a difference between the 68 side trim and other years. I definitely like it much better than the wider trim with the black stripe in the middle.
You have done a great job on the paint. I would imagine it looks 10x better in person . BTW...I have just been uploading files to my website and linking to them from there. Seems to work fine, but photobucket accomplishes the same thing. Last edited by tdave00; 02-12-2008 at 04:24 AM. |

Now I need to figure out what I am going to do about rim color, match the body or go with an argent grey? What do you all think? Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!
She is beautiful! Can't wait to see it with all the trim and glass.
Just another tip on the pics: If you're in your photobucket album you don't have to click on each pic to get the url. Just right click the thumbnail/properties and copy the url from there. Then you just remove the TH_ when you paste it in your image location field. For multiple pics in a series copy the first one from the text field here on the site ie:{IMG]http://example1.jpg[/IMG} and paste it as many times as you have pics to display(up to ten including emoticons) then just change the image numbers accordingly like: {IMG]http://example2.jpg[/IMG} {IMG]http://example3.jpg[/IMG} {IMG]http://example4.jpg[/IMG} {IMG]http://example5.jpg[/IMG} It makes posting multiple pics with interlaced text very fast. |
